So I glad we got the earlier ferry! I forgot how much I hate boats and get sea sick. The way they park the cars in the ferry is amazing, all that Lego play came in handy.

Quite night tonight at the Mecure, tomorrow we start our KI adventure.

Oh, and in hindsight, catching Rex flight from ADL would be my choice next time.

QF also fly to KI now. Its on my list of things to do, having only been across on the ferry before.

Picked up cherries on the way so after dinner, looking forward to sitting on our balcony, relaxing... While spitting cherry seeds.

Vodafone dead here, Telstra is good.

That KI ferry is notorious for sea sickness. That stretch of water can be really rough and not in an organised fashion. Washing machine stuff. But you do need a car on KI to get around.

We happened to be on the ferry the day the horse races were on, worst mistake ever. Spent the entire trip back being harassed by very drunk women because they really wanted the seats my mum and I were sitting in.

Oh, there were computers, just not the small personal ones.

I had employment in the IT industry before the IBM PC was released.

My father worked for a NZ government department and they had one of the first computers in NZ - it basically took up an entire room!

Carol says the only thing that will make Carol feel validated and vindicated is money "after all of this".

Nows she's naming Chiefs and judges names.

Maybe her co workers dislike her because of her personality.

That's massive bad form. Basic rule is you keep your mouth shut in public or talk generically. If I have to take a call in a taxi, nothing is given away in a conversation.

I remember catching a flight back from NZ a few years ago - was in aisle seat and across the aisle and half a row forward, the person in the aisle seat pulled out a folder and was reviewing a presentation. They worked for a competitor of ours. I could see everything about a strategic launch plan. As soon as I realised, I leaned over and said, you might want to put that away as I work for your competitor. They did and a few mins later, said to me - oh it is just a case study (it wasn't!).

We train our business about discretion in talking business on planes, lounges, taxis etc and to never review sensitive documents on planes as you never know who is seated around you.

I guess in the world of what if, what if your wife had fainted and someone was concerned about her?

Tell yourself that the person who reported it had good intentions.
If my wife had fainted that would have been different. But my wife was clearly laying down with her head on her backpack and legs in the air. That's not how people faint. Or do they?

When you're driving along in your car you don't make a report to authorities if you see a person sitting and leaning against a tree?[/QUOTE]

Ah. I thought she was seated and tilting her head asleep. Mmmm. I think if I’d seen a person with their legs in the air and a toddler nearby seemingly unattended I might become one of your busybodies. Just out of concern that she was really unwell and the child at risk. The report may have had nothing to do with you at all especially if they hadn’t seen you interacting with your daughter.

Being a busy body is a good thing. A light tap on shoulder and "Are you ok?" is fine.

Anyway have other things to worry about.

Hope all is ok then.

These days I think people are reluctant to approach people. You just don’t know the reaction you will get. I can’t imagine a man approaching a woman and touching her to check if she was ok. I would never approach a man.

I've been wondering where you've been and was hoping all was OK on your front! I'm not sure I want the baby to arrive on Christmas Day - son's partner is a GP but she will be enjoying her tucker and sparkles so it could get a bit awkward. She did come to the rescue on a wedding day when the bride got her hand caught in a metal spring on a chair and ended up in hospital with her. After they returned a sheepish guest who was a plastic surgeon outed herself. Bride had had too many bubbles to be in much pain but she ruined her dress with blood!
Yep, no dramas here. Just been busy. Been reading boards but for most threads haven’t had anything much to add. :)

I have just spent the last 13 hours in bed !! Arrived at LAX yesterday and headed for our first night @ Hilton Garden Inn - I really don't sleep on planes !!!! Now I am ready to hit the shops :D

Go for a run up to Camarillo Premium Outlet Mall for discounts or South Coast Plaza for range in shopping. Back here I bought some Georg Jensen 10% off gift cards and we can wait for their sale later in the year. I hate paying list price.
