Yesterday we a Twilight seal tour, which meant a 35klm drive back to our cabin just before sunset. The last 8klms after dark.Bloody kangaroos, just standing on the road.

The last 8klms was done at 50klms per hour.

Won't be doing that again this trip.

Gosh. I wonder why it’s called Kangaroo Island ;)

Had a nice dinner at EMC seafood & raw bar - Santana Row San Jose. Had lobster sliders (thought of Pushka), oysters, seafood tacos and a crispy garlic lobster.

Santana Row is very pretty and we went to a adult toy shop (no not that kind).

The two things I found most funny, was a leather wallet where you pushed a button and the cards popped forward for extraction. They also had a safety device. Emitted a loud noise, included extra strength capsicum spray and sent an SOS to all your contacts. You carried it on your hand as a sort of knuckle duster!

:). Sliders are a thing of mine, as you know esp pork sliders in Rydges.

I was thinking just now it was great you trusted your gut instinct on going over. We should do more of that. I’m a great believer in it.

yes Mr FM and I are so glad we came over - it seemed a bit crazy at the time, but Mother’s instinct said we were needed and we were.

Mmm I may have mentioned that previously ;) - looks like perfect weather for being on KI - enjoy

I had arranged some catering from a nearby Cafe to our cabin so we could relax and be lazy if we wanted to. Salads, quiche, brownies ect.

So glad I did. Touring all morning makes hungry tourists! Just devoured lunch while relaxing in comfy clothes and no shoes and time to sit on the balcony before afternoon nap.

The Remarkables are truly remarkable.

When you're woken from your afternoon nap with, "Dolphins, Honey! Jumping out of the air and spinning Dolphins!"

Considering we've seen a lot while scuba diving for 20+yrs, it's cute that things still excite him like this.

Justice delivered. Driving back from Geelong a little while ago a car overtook me travelling at a very fast speed. Damn thought I never a police officer around when you need one.

Couple of minutes later an unmarked police car went past me with lights and sirens blaring. When I eventually went past them the police officer was engaged in conversation with the driver of the speeding vehicle. I suspect the driver will need to use their Myki card in the near future.

So the girls tell me they are making chocolate brownies and baking my pudding charms into them - good lateral thinking :)

It is just before 4am and Mrscove is downstairs working on the jelly base for the Christmas dessert.

My wish for everyone here whoever you are is a happy Christmas season, filled with love and laughter (and for those who partake, good champagne and wine). Good health in 2018, especially for those who’ve had a rotten year this year. Stay safe and may all your flights be smooth.
Off the Leongatha today to spend Christmas with my mother so probably won’t have time tomorrow for Christmas greetings. :):):)
