My office millenial is still jet lagged, after arriving Saturday morning. He also didnt come into the office yesterday, because of jet lag.
I get awful jet lag and I’m no millennial. Although last time we travelled through SL and was fine. It was probably the only time I haven’t arrived home sick though.

Geez we've been known to land at 10pm from OS and I'm in the office by 8am the next morning

Hes currently drinking Red Bull and coffee! Told him water and sunlight would be better for him, his office is near the balcony so he could move out there.

Jetlag hit me when I came back last month - especially as it was combined with not being well. I landed about 8pm Sunday night, was at work at 8.30am the next day and the jet lag kicked in about 3pm -had 3 days of that, a day of feeling just a bit meh and come the Friday, was back to normal.

I dont feel it going there but I do feel it coming back. I also give myself a couple of days at home.

April, I have us returning 7pm Wed night as I have to work from home Thur & Fri but at least I can work from the couch and nap.

I would have thought quite the opposite - I can’t recall the last time I saw a pocket on a business shirt. What purpose do they even serve?
Pens, phone, little wallet with Go card and lots of other cards, boarding pass, passport etc. Very handy.

I don't like t-shirts without a pocket either but not so easy to avoid either.

Well there you go! I did a quick survey of my 3 male colleagues and none of them owned work shirts with pockets on them and one did ask - why do you need a pocket? This then segued into a conversation about school teachers with ink stains on pockets.

Maybe the pockets/ no pockets is a generational thing? These guys all carry a bag of some description to the office.

A few days ago I was reading here about the demise of MyFlights. I now cannot find the reference so could someone please point me in the right direction.

The information was in a very "obvious" thread titled "CheckMyTrip".

I have moved relevant posts to a new thread: MyFlights App to close

Dr FM does the same. I used to get cranky with her and say she should get back a few days early - there are people’s lives in her hands! However she says with the shifts she works it is like being permanently jet lagged so no difference.

I am another one in favour of sunlight for resetting the clock. The older I get the worse my jetlag seems to get in either direction. Going to Africa is good, as you have to get up so early for game drives, the jetlag is a positive.

I have hopped off 6amish flights and headed to the office directly (showering there) and worked through until about 3.30 before heading home.

East to West is much easier than West to East.

MrP also carries backpack and briefcase and uses his pockets all the time.

Did anyone else get logged out overnight? All my devices (iphone, ipad and PC) all logged me out. Or is this some kind of message :o

I get really tired when I return from overseas trips. Can last for 2-3 days. Is this jetlag? If it is jetlag I would love to know why I'm never tired on the outbound legs and head straight to golf after a few hours sleep.

I'm one who often arrives early morning from overseas and heads straight to work (generally directly from the airport).

A quick shower, either at an airport lounge (WP same day access) or at work helps alot. Then an early night at home that evening.

I also try to work to sleep specific times during my flight. e.g. QF94 leaves LAX about 5pm Melbourne time in summer; so dinner with a couple of movies takes me to ~10pm, so then it is sleep time.

Never fear, it's not just you! :D

Last night there was a sitewide software update to XenForo - maintenance upgrade; no new functionality.

However, all remembered logins became obsolete.

Because you are travelling "west" (timezone wise) and daytime.

The home trip is "east" and overnight.

Yes to being logged out overnight.

My husband hates pockets on tshirts or polos. Personally, I wonder how a guy carries all his "stuff", without a handbag.
