The totally off-topic thread

Another flyertalk enhancement; with the linking of facebook and flyertalk, almost thought that it should have a new thread. Admin; don't get any ideas I reckon its a stupid idea.

I find Facebook Connect rather useful when I don't remember my FT password. :)

Would have been embarrassing if Flashware had come home with a couple of mates from the game to continue the celebrations and there was karen is in her birthday suit and a ribbon .

Hope you made it back to NSW safely karens. That will help the SC and FF point gathering (but not the sleep :D)

Hee hee hee, maybe I should wear my birthday suit and a ribbon at the hotel for when Flashware arrives in Auckland.

Am safely back in NSW although the in flight entertainment was me being sick in the bathroom. Ended up curled up with a blanket and my hand knitted socks for the flight. Will soon be flying to Canberra then road trip home to the Lake.

Trying to mimic me, that was me on my last flight back from ZNE!

Safe trip, and see you in AKL next week.

As long as every post I make doesn’t become a status message on facebook telling everyone I just posted in such a thread… but then, other than using Facebook to post on FT, what’s the point of it? :p

Well I guess like MSN Passport (has that been deprecated now?), it allows you to have one login point for more than one application or website.

I suppose there would or should be logistical advantages (whether they be right now or in the future, i.e. in the pipeline), but as an IT graduate I prefer to stick to the principle of loose coupling.

Useful for new members, pointless for old members?

Do you know all the details? Like can you get a no-ad subscription with a Facebook account, or do you need a real account for that?

Wouldn't be pointless for old members, as you can tie it in still.

Does FT even do no-ad subscriptions? Also, moot point anyway as it would be pointed back to either your original FT username, or a flag set against your FB profile.

What facebook?

Single username/handle family - uniform password across sites (Regularly changed).

I've stopped 'socializing' on twitter, only use it for industry tweets ...

So I guess you didn't get my last message then. :p

I think I have to stop following you then; and I probably block you as well. ;)

Just so long as that's Flashware coming through the door and not the porter with the luggage :D :o

Woah, that must have been as embarrassing as Flashware's ZNE flight  (probably a wise thing he didn't wait for me). What, nothing else on under the blanket othe than your socks :o Now, so long as it was only food- or lack of sleep-related, not anything else ;)

I thought the days of porters were numbered - at least in this part of the world anyway (unless you patronise one of those really, really swanky establishments, and even then).

If you substitute "porter with the luggage" with "housekeeping" or "front desk", then perhaps we have a case. :o Of course, D1 could very well knock on the door and jokingly reply, "Housekeeping!" or "Room Service!" Then we have a..............

Woah, trying to outdo Flashware on his ZNE trip - you win, your flight was longer :o Now, I hope you had more than your socks on under the blanket, or were your clothes sullied?
