The points are awarded, because, while they missed, the umpire could see what they were trying to do.
I suppose if they did that for soccer Australia might be world champions. Umm maybe that Australian mind set explains something about our recent world cup performances. ;) :D

btw I was trying to post a photo with my last post without much luck. If that had of worked my post wouldn't have been so lame.

Gaelic football by any chance? :p
No nothing that interesting. just a contrail that I viewed in Adelaide yesterday while arching. iphone app just would not connect with the photo thingy. (to use the technical term)

Can anyone guess where I am, I am sure a few AFFers have been here a few times.

We heard the GF result announced by the Captain on VH-OQE while over the "Bay of Bengal", slightly west of the "Andaman Islands" - my reaction? 68 all? seemed like a typical Swan/Eagles style ... until the last few minutes drearfest .

Anyway; this was going to be the first AFL premiership I would have missed since 1991 so now have my replay tickets snaffled - the tradition continues.

That's a good effort serfty but you have a long way to go to beat an elderly gentleman who was interviewed on the Neil Mitchell radio program on 3AW last Friday-he's been to every single grand final since 1946:!:
Now that's what I call a football fanatic.

I had a ticket for 1991 as well. I could not go as I contracted pneumonia!!

Another 17 years to see my beloved hawks play in a Grand Final. :-| ... and win!

I was only 3 years old when my beloved Cats won the '63 grand final, sadly I had to wait another 44 years to see another,2008 was looking good for back to back but some other team (who I won't mention) had to spoil the party,2009 made up for it though and 2010 was going well but they let themselves down in the finals.

If you've seen the Phantom before, Love Never Dies was good when we were there.

Have seen Phantom, but not since I was a little boy  I did see the ad for Love Never Dies, thought I'd add it to the list. So many shows to see... so little time (money?) :p
