I think its too late for me![]()
Good blankets are getting expensive :!:An iphone-heck the fire and blanket are working perfectly well and so much cheaper.![]()
Spoken by someone who has no idea how much can be accomplished by/with an iPhone.
Before I got one I was one of the biggest sceptics around also.

OK related to the iPhone.....
Question from more my dad than myself, but I wanted to ask those of you who have an iPhone (and I know that is many of you)..... how are your screens?
Are they scratched, are there lots of smudge marks, do you clean it often, do you use a sleeve / protective film, do you carry it mostly in your side pocket / back pocket / by itself or stashed with your keys, etc. etc.
Have any of you ever experienced response problems with the screen, perhaps sometimes you would have had to recalibrate it?
As you know, I use a sock. I’m probably the only person in the world that uses an iPod sock for his iPhone.

but it can get smudge marks. Easy enough to clean off.
Just rinse under running water right![]()
Well, when they quote your share of the rent, be sure to ask about the 'extra charges'.

I did say RAAF pilots in a general sense but yes the RAAF does still have a few rotary pilots just no rotary aircraft.
The current Chief of Defence Force is a RAAF Helicopter pilot :!:

Funnily enough, that's actually a common thing here. When looking you're normally told the price of rent, then bills on top per month and it's usually a fixed('ish) amount.
The two biggest ones I saw were council tax and gas. Elec was also up there as was water. It's amazing how much they all added up to per year. (I think in my rented place, we were paying on average 3600 pounds / year on bills - including Pay TV, Internet, Phone and the ones above).
Yeh, all up seems to be around 100 quid/month per PERSON.
Yeah, we had three in our place, so about 100 quid each. I'd expect if you're in a traditional Aussie Sharehouse (ie 5 or 6 people in the place), it would come down to about 50/month or maybe 75/month.
Also Council Taxes should be lower the further you are out of central London and the cheaper the place you're living in is valued at.
It's all lots of fun.
That said, I think in Australia you'd pay $50-$100/month for elec, $50-$100/month for gas, $x for excess water bills (if passed on), $50-$100/month for Internet, $50/month for home phone, $100/month for Foxtel etc etc... so the costs aren't exorbitant compared to living here.
Doesn't Wandsworth have a nice big share house?Yeh, 3 people in my place. I know that if you live in Wandsworth council they apparently have the lowest council tax, so includes places like Putney.
OK I'll add to my reply a little and add the smileys for you.Umm, I probably should have put in a couple of smileys on that one.

The current CDF (with whom I trained) is a RAAF helicopter pilot. When No9 Sqn was disbanded in 1989 and the Army took over the Helos the current CDF was the last CO of No9 Sqn and quite a few of the RAAF Helo pilots actually transferred to the Army Aviation Corps. :!:![]()
