The top ten posters of 2010.
The breakdown is name, posts for 2010, total posts and date joined AFF.

That's a bit more than ten there, but whatever.

I assume all those post counts (posts made and total posts) use the same global counting system, i.e. posts in the Playground are not counted.

It is interesting to see how many posts from 2010 contributed to the current post count of each member.

What's the go with alarm clocks on Iphones not working on 01 or 02 Jan irrespective of what network you're with? At least half a dozen colleagues this morning were late as their alarms didn't go off anywhere from 0300 to 0400.

Somone googled the problem & there's an issue only with the dates 01 or 02 Jan of each year.

Why though???

There was an issue with DST and iPhones not correctly alarming the next morning, but this is the first I've heard of the "1st Jan - no alarm" issue.

I think half the world has probably slept in as a result! (Judging by how many of the phones are out there!)

The post count for 2010 count all posts, even those in the playground, while the total post count is the official tally, not including what’s in the playground. Hence why it says I’ve made 5200+ posts and only have a count of 5300. I’m guessing it would be closer to 7000 or 8000 if counting the playground.

Mind boggling how much free time I had last year

Unless someone sifts through the code we may never know, but it’s been reported the bug occurs on the 1st, 2nd and 3rd, but should be fine for the 4th onwards. I’m sure someone’s already tested every day of the year.

I was only going to post ten but then added a few more.

Didn't work 1st and 2nd for me, fine today. :)

How awesome are these pictures:

(See INSANELY awesome solar eclipse picture | Bad Astronomy | Discover Magazine)

Can you see why he traveled so far to get this shot? The silhouette of the Moon taking a dark bite out of the Sun is obvious enough, as are some interesting sunspots on the Sun’s face… but wait a sec… that one spot isn’t a spot at all, it’s the International Space Station! This was a double eclipse!

thierry_eclipse_iss_zoom.jpg

...and talk about planning a photo....

That’s why Thierry sojourned to Oman; due to the geometry of the ISS orbit, it was from there that he had the best chance of getting a picture of the station as it passed in front of the Sun during the relatively brief duration of the actual solar eclipse. But talk about brief; the ISS was in front of the Sun for less than second, so not only did he have one chance at getting this spectacular once-in-a-lifetime shot, but he had only a fraction of a second to snap it!

Hurrah for work flights! Moving north for new job next week - will move up to 10% for LTS!

Got to say that LTS seems to be a waste of time these days, by the time I might need it , it will have been enhanced out of existence.

Now now... don't look a gift horse in the mouth - new job gave me a choice between driving 3 days and getting a kilometric or having car lifted and flying. And because car lift will take a few weeks cos of floods, I will earn some extra points on two weeks car rental once I arrive.

Aww **** yeah!
