Love my lamb's fry or steak and kidney.Certainly wouldn't consider tongue or tripe though.
veggies-just dont let me see chokoes. Now in Tassie I am spoilt-such a variety of old fashioned veggies which actually have taste. Can have a meal of just veggies.

I'm fine with cabbage, broccoli and zucchini but can't stand sprouts or cauliflower.
Cheers

Good way to cook Brussels Sprouts is to make an incision in the base and cook them in milk. Takes the edge of a bit. So cook them, drain them, brown some bacon pieces and add the spouts back in and simmer for a while.

... then give them to the missus (who lurves them) and order pizza! :p

Like Tiger *ugh* no thanks. Almost same feeling for JQ (I think JohnK will agree with me here, as well as others).
I did not think it was possible but sometimes money (or money saved) is more important than the carrier one flies.

Interesting though how TT is about to get my first booking well ahead of JQ. I hope TT does not let me down as the plan is to book some more flights if the first lot go without any major glitches.

Vegetables - love them all. Just don't go serving me kidney, liver, tongue, tripe, etc - they get left on the plate or go straight back (or straight up :o)
I love kidney, liver, giblets, hearts etc.

Kidney and liver especially are great sources of protein and iron. Cut them up into pieces and lightly boil them in water. Then in a frypan heat some oil and then fry some onions and then include the boiled kidneys and liver. Add some oregano and squeezed lemon. Delicious....]

I was surprised when I met the (elderly) owner of a large cattle station up here near Alice, and asked him about kidneys (I love kidneys or liver), I thought he would be right into it but his response was "It would have to be a long drought before I resorted to eating the engine and gearbox!" :)

I can’t invite you over when my dads in town then, as he’ll cook a steak and kidney pie that I hear is great (though I don’t eat either).

Mmm yum! :D

Not a big fan of tripe though! Pig intestines are nice in certain dishes.

Vegetables... I eat them because I have to. But I do find baby kai lan pretty tasty.

Have I stumbled into the masterchef forums :D.
Not quite. :D

Total amateur and love to spend the time making simple things as a) I am bored in Brisbane and b) save money in the process. Majoriity of the time my cooking is edible and I hardly ever had to throw anything away apart from some burned experiments every now and then.

My favourite right now is a salad with raw capsicum (red and green), raw celery, raw carrot, raw zucchini, kalamata olives, cheddar cheese, cold (boiled) chicken and italian dressing. I prepare every morning for lunch at work and at last count is ~300 calories with hardly any carbohydrate but a good source of protein and fibre.

Looking to see if I can add anything else raw into the salad. Have tried cucumber but does not quite blend in.

Yay. My Samsung galaxy S II has arrived. Neat piece of kit.

Cool! I just ordered an Asus TF101 yesterday, should arrive on Monday/Tuesday. I couldn't wait an extra 2 weeks for the new one that comes with the keyboard/dock, hopefully can purchase separately later if I need to. That now leaves me sitting with an Android 2.2 phone (HTC Desire) and Android 3.0 Honeycomb Tablet PC.

I have some sites that will be handy for your new phone... will e-mail you.

Ta for the email. Will come in handy. Still getting used to the Android experience, the phone presentation layer and how it all works - but should be all there soon.

Rather embarrassing today though. Tested calling out from the phone, but didn't test calling in. While I was on lunch, the office called (I'd somehow missed a meeting that I was attending ... oops!) and I couldn't answer the call. Tried the usual methods I'm used to, but just didn't swipe the answer button far enough to the right to make it answer.

Oh wells. All part of the fun :)

Yeh, it took at least a week before I "got it". My answering calls is easier, I have an "answer" or "hang up" button that I simply touch :D

I read the manual for my first car to find out how to work the wireless (radio ;)). My grandad said I should go out straight away and hand in my drivers licence.

I've always enjoyed reading technical stuff,a few years ago a pilot friend had a surplus copy of the operators manual for the 737 and he gave it to me,now there is absolutely nil chance that I will ever sit in the coughpit of a 737 let alone fly one but I still thoroughly enjoyed reading the manual,in fact I've still got it.
Cheers
