So why don't the people using these phones change the settings to turn off these silly messages?

Well I have turned them off but due the the limitations of the app it is sometimes good for people to know. Post padding was mentioned but also things like not adding links to information but trying to help someone quickly.

Also the multi quote can be done. But it can be frustrating to put together a 3 post quote only to lose it all when someone calls. Auto correct issues and US spelling can also be understood if we know a post was from a phone. Basically an explanation why a post might be a bit different to one from a computer.

I don't mind people using the multi-quote but 3-4 posts can be over the top.
