Boeing to start ETOP's testing June 9th
According to sources, Boeing's latest schedule, thus far, has the 787 program starting F&R and ETOPs flight testing on June 9th. This information comes on the heels of ZA102 restarting flight tests after several months going through re-work and change incorporation at ATS Hangar 3 in Everett.

This aircraft flew a 50 minute check flight and landed back at Everett. No word yet on first delivery date but it is anticipated that ETOPs and F & R testing should take about a month followed by type certification for the Rolls Royce powered 787.

Looks like VA8 had some issues getting to the gate this morning. Got here after it had stopped but before they had to tow it very slowly from where it had parked behind gate 82, to gate 75!



Perhaps they didn't give it a full tank of gas?

Finally made it back from Groote Eylandt, the plane broke down once we landed 389 miles from Darwin, had to wait 4 hours for a replacement to come from Darwin.

Wish you were all here in the F lounge in SYD. Fresh bottle of Taittinger was just opened por moi (only one in the restaurant at present after QF10 and the DFW flights. Just left the gate/lounge).

I guess I'll just have to finish it off by myself! Pitty!

I can probably equal it. I got stuck there with a very long JQ36 delay last year. Would have been around 7 hours.

They better stock up for the July trip that I was roped into by force from nlagalle and others

They'll need it if the trip here for the wake was anything to go by. Quite impressive!
