And my asus will be heading back in for repair. No idea how i manage to kill the motherboard... Esp. Since the three times it has died have been in entirely different power and even location grids. Power pack was replaced last time, motherboard has already been replaced twice.

Liam... Stop laughing.

Potentially it could be a bizarre interaction between it and my Hawaei mobile broadband but really don't know. I use it with that laptop frequently so its not the main cause.

I'd be tempted to be asking for a refund on the unit TBH!

A little complex. purchased in Singapore. The other interesting factor is that i always use an international adapter for it due to the UK plug, but can't see how that would be the cause.

Anyone know if asus have a 3 repairs and its replaced policy? Otherwise could use amex insurance.

Ps, yes i know the date, but *this*post isn't a windup.

Why don't you just buy a new lead to go from the power brick to the wall? That's what we do in Guinea / Liberia!

Finally back in civilisation, and you know that's a bad thing when I consider Monrovia civilisation.... ;)

Its not a traditional power pack. It has removable plug to connect brick to wall. Brick sits against the wall. Was looking for an au one as its an industry oem manufacturer and i know the part number.

its a figure 8 plug tho. Just have been avoiding carrying around a figure 8 cable as the converter is smaller.

It's a Chinese Government Conspiracy I tells you! ;)

Very brave and valiant of you (of course, what any good parent does for their child), but surely Little Miss can swim?

Apart from failing to remove the phone from your person before jumping in (even if it was bothering to toss it aside), I fail to see the foolishness in you that you seem to deem yourself worthy of. :o

My foolishness was that she was in a pool without me. She only started lessons late last year, and while she's made some leaps recently, she shouldn't have been in by herself. All good now, she's not panicked or freaked by the experience, and ready to go swimming at any moment. :/ Will have to definitely stick by her in the pool when we're in HNL.

So was anyone the victim of an April Fools today?

Bored today flipping through my iPhone apps and stumbled upon this

Have now realised I have become a FF junkie or else Worldmate has made a huge mistake with that 12 day itinerary
Sad to say there seems to be no mistake ;)

I had to laugh when I saw the restaurant of choice for the Friday night at Canberra Ozfest.

It is actually not funny though....

Just spotted this in the DJ lounge in ADL. If you can't read it, the tag line is "Australian Living at its Best". I thought an AFF member had started a magazine about how to get the best living by paying your tax bill. ;) A quick check of the contents and it looks like it's a glossy advertisement for Sanctuary Cove. :(

Cove looks like it is becoming a popular made up name.
Thank goodness it is a style magazine and not something from the dark side.
I must remember to get Big Bird to rattle Shintaro's windows today as we do a fly over and wave to him down in Adelaide.
The smorgasbord at Cafe Opera with the Priority Privilege card remains the bargain meal for two at the Sydney Intercontinental.
