Calendar is showing no one around on those dates in the airports. Can't stay in the T2 lounge for long after landing because my lone bag on the carousel will raise a few issues.
As you know I hang around in the lounge(s) quite a lot after my flights.

When you get in to the Virgin lounge at T2 after your flight just ask them to call baggage services to let them know that you will be waiting in the lounge for a while.

Wonder how how QF7 and QF8 are going due to the tornando in DFW.

But I'll bet you didn't choke on every mouthful Nigelinoz.

Yeah quite the opposite,it was absolutely wonderful,so nice that I have decided to try and get my hands on some to cellar for a few years,it really is a great wine.

Well, there's a stack of cancellations ...

(DFW) Dallas/Ft. Worth International Airport Departures

... but they are of no relevance to Simo's query as there's no QF7/QF8 scheduled for any Tuesday going forward including 3rd April (which is the date there currently).

Of course the storms should have a good chance of clearing by tomorrow when QF7/QF8 are next scheduled to operate.

FWIW, I find AusBT reporting often leaves a lot to be desired! I don't actively go there and rarely follow any links to it these days. I can generally find more accurate/useful information elsewhere.

And another tale of high priced booze comes from News.com-

Man splurges $US136k on bottle of bubbly | News.com.au
Rather makes the $42 I spent on a bottle of Bin 389 at dinner the other night look rather feeble.:(

I've become immune to such stories after [-]being forced[/-] sharing joyfully SWMBO's TV viewing. Most recently we enjoyed the reality series on Tamara Eccleston, grew up around formula 1. In the last episode they went partying in San Marino or somewhere like than. In between shots, they purchased a double magnum of Dom and a 6 liter bottle of Crystal. The 6 liter bottle was €60000! I'm not sure what that works out to in USD but it is shocking to see it sprayed up against the wall on a boozy night out.

Can you wait in the lounge at the destination.. i thought the lounges were only for departing passengers not arriving passengers???

Just overheard on the bus a nice backpack type say "pretty much between Fraser Island and cairns there's nothing". Couldn't help but lol.

Both qantas and virgin allow arrivals access for domestic flights in certain circumstances.

As a QF Gold you can not use the lounge on arrival off a QF flight, you need to be Platinum.

As a DJ Gold you can use the lounge whenever you like subject to capacity control as you have Anytime Access, even when arriving off a QF flight ;)

Those on the Whitsunday Islands might be surprised to hear that ...

Maybe thats why most of them have gone out of business, Dunk, Bedarra, Club Med, Brampton, Great Keppel etc etc (I am talking Great Barrier reef islands in general, not just Whitsundays!)

If they were talking about surf beaches, then probably an accurate comment.

True, the failure of my eavesdropping was not knowing the topic. But still, when a cyclone comes in there is some decent surfing to be had up that way.

Having problems send email, maybe your ISP is a Cisco customer, since Cisco decided to blacklist their own customers on the iron port service LOL.

http://www.itnews.com.au/News/296066,having-trouble-sending-email.aspx

The other problem is that if a client is using Cisco web filters and the mail server that is blacklisted also has the same ip as the mail relay then Cisco customers won't be able to access the website either...

They were extremely kind. I would say "pretty much between Tweed Heads and Cape York there's nothing". ;)

Not much south of Eden either! :p
