Are we talking something liked linkedin; some people keep their profiles locked down so you can't even see what sort of work they do, maybe some people have their linkedin profiles locked down as much as their Facebook page.

A few of us are on linkedin, I haven't found much use for it yet but with 3,000,000 Australians with an account it might have some use.

I'm still not sure why I need LinkedIn - is there much use for it for medical doctors? In my experience employment in the medical field seems to follow different conventions to the business world - particularly senior medical appointments.

Congrats Nigelinoz! Enjoy using those points but remember to always leave 5k in the account.

Well done Nigelinoz!

Spending your points is an easier task outside of Australia than in it, unfortunately. But it's always great to have those points banked in reserve when you need them in a pinch.

I'm actually considering a trip to the UK in October so might consider using some over there, but I still have stays booked at the H.I Brisbane and Potts Point soon so that will also add to the balance.
Cheers

Congrats on reaching PC Platinum, although Hilton Gold is actually better, free internet, generally free breakfast, not always guaranteed but can be handy.

PC point stays especially the 5,000 points ones can be very useful even the 15,000 points + $60 cash stays when the hotel was asking Euro 293.00 can be a bargain.

You mean AClub (or whatever name it is this week) is not worth aspiring to as the best Platinum level, everyone seems to have it .

Well after a couple of possibly "on topic' posts here's one which I hope fits the parameters of the off topic forum.
Five people were bitten by cows in NSW, just in summer. This ends now | News.com.au
Five people were bitten by cows in NSW, just in summer.

SPIDERS come out on top, with dogs nipping at their heels - but when it comes to all things that bite, you probably would have thought you were safe from cows. Paramedics have compiled a list of every bite they have treated across NSW since the start of summer, responding to more than 1100 calls for help - an average of 12 a day.

I notice there was even one dingo bite reported, wonder whether it was a baby:!:.

Why do people stick their hands in cows mouths, grass needs to be chewed folks, at least the green stuff in paddocks does!

When I was growing up I raised a poddy calf and called her Flora, I think I was confused into thinking margarine had dairy products in it!

These days they promote margarine on the very basis that it doesn't have any dairy in it:!:.

I recently transferred 4000 A|club/LeClub points to QFF - took about 2 days for the transfer and about 18 months and 6 stays to accumulate the points.

I recently transferred 100000 PC points to AirNZ as I need some Airpoint Dollars for an Upgrade soon. Took about 7 months and 10 stays to accumulate 220000 PC points with CtC.

PC Plat is about as worthwhile to me as LeClubAccor plat, peruly for the point loadings.

I'll be far happier to see HHonors diamond back.

Something different happened today, got a good coffee out of a machine in a QP!

I'm up for it... got some Dec QF vouchers I need to use before they expire.

Looking to July - August - thru November and can only be a weekend for me.

The Sunshine state would be the better venue, although I could arrange a game with few groups on the Mornington Peninsula (won't help my voucher use but).

Myself and wife driving down for the 54 hole tournament May 1-3

I find searching flight status through Google.com is really useful, with airline designator and flight no. needed. Courtesy of Flight stats.com.

Saves on going to airline's web page.

Me too, and if I'm not sure what flight I'm on I can type into Google

"Flights SYD to MEL" and it'll list all the flights for a week. Very helpful if you are lazy.

Considering that kids these days are latching onto the automatic mechanical assumption of bad parenting as well as a lenient legal system which fails to adequately punish young criminals under the age of 18 irrespective of the gravity of their intent and seriousness of their crimes, I reserve judgement on the full culpability being borne by the parents until there is further analysis to say otherwise.

Notwithstanding a trial to ensure that they are actually the culprits, the father will probably get some jail time, whereas the son will probably end up with a slap on the wrist if he's lucky.

Few hours to kill before heading to ROB for my flight home. Don't really expect the lounge is going to have much to offer... but at least it will be better than sitting out with the riff raff! When I flew out of CKY you had 1 drink voucher, and that was pretty much it .. didn't really see any food stuffs around:!:

We watched our staff member get hitched in Vegas with the Elvis impersonator in a 1950s setting. They stream the event so there were quite a number of us watching the event on the Internet.
