Why not just type out "Differential Equations were easy at Uni"?

Typing out an extra few characters hurt? Most have no idea with the initialisation used....

Including you, perchance?

Those who have no idea what those initials meant, or had no initiative to be able to sense, deduce or guess reasonably what they could've meant, have no business nor interest in said topic anyway, so no loss. (I'd be surprised how many on this board - more precisely those with little study in the physical sciences or mathematics - who would know precisely what a differential equation is).

I didn't know what the initials meant at first, but then put context into play .. read back a few posts, and bingo. Why make things harder than they have to be?

Interesting that HRH preferred SQ to QF for the trip home ex Brisbane with + 1

I guess after about a thousand lectures on the subject I've got used to the initialism, it takes about 3 hours to write out differential equations you know. I'm just glad you were able to understand from the context.

Also glad I didn't write ODEs and PDEs.

Context as they say, is everything.

Oh. Mum will be disappointed. She's on the ER. I got an excited phone call about seeing Kate and Wills earlier today. The seat map was pretty darn full a few hours before departure, perhaps HRH and entourage couldn't get tickets.

I think that might be wrong. ;) shouldn't it be d2u/dx2 + d2u/dt2 =0? :?: but maybe :p

I probably should've mentioned that both equations are not related to each other :p Oops.

For most science based people here, at least one of those equations should be pretty obvious.

The past 2 weeks have seen some very positive things happen. Little bit worrying as there's too much of the good and not enough of the bad

If things go pear shaped from here, you read it first here!

I hope you haven't been reading too many posts from Johnk, look on the bright side please.

Must be starting to rub off! ;)

Having a positive outlook (looking on the bright side!) is what, in my opinion has resulted in the good things happening :)

What happens when people start to see through the lies?

Do they finally see you for what you really are and not who you pretend to be?

The time is near....

I'm positive that the Swans will beat Collingwood of Friday night :!:

I guess you are trying for positive attitude, I guess if the Pies win; you won't stop hearing about the football all the next week. ;)

I don't know what had that quote but it simply is not true.

Some groups have been getting away with blatant lies for a long long time and people just fell for it not knowing any better. Finally they are starting to see through all the lies and the truth is painful....
