Having a few drinks with some members of Blondie in the IC SYD lounge, its a tough life, no Deborah though! Apparently Clem Burke was impressed with The Church last night and has headed off to spend some time with the boys from Devo! I am the only one drinking, maybe the hard living happens after the show.

Sounds great. I'll be there next week. A 2-for-1 stay?

Amb cert, I am yet to rejoin PP but that will happen later this week now the status quo has been restored. Good thing hotel chains don't talk, last night had a room at the IC and two at the Hilton, and a boss asking how I got HH Diamond.....LOL.

Hurry up with the refund already and stop spending our money on hotel stays.

PMs now fixed, thanks for the heads up. Anyone who has still not got a refund please PM me your bank details which must have the account name, as a few have been bouncing as apparently Citi require this, and it will be closed off by 15th Dec, I have received some fees back from the ticket processor as well which I will be donating to the Muesum, everyone will get a tax deduction receipt of $20 or so as a result which I will PM a photo of, happy to send the originals as well, which is a bit of a bonus at the end.

Mark has been in contact with me via PM, and advises money will be sent on the 14 December which should arrive in my account by the 15th.

As the story goes, the guy that owns this house lives north of Cincinnati, Ohio .. Police were constantly being called for traffic jams and accidents in the neighborhood so they asked him to shut it downduring certain hours. Instead he started charging by car load to payoff duty police to be there.. The guy is supposedly a real computerGEEK. Well with 45,000 lights, you'd expect that...

Merry Christmas to all you amateur electricians!

Meant to post this earlier, anyone else notice how different the city lights are at this time of the year with all the houses displaying their Xmas lights, seems to have a lot more blue around, at least in Brisbane the other night on approach from the south!

Bloody Cincinnatians. Never had that problem in Northern Kentucky. :p

Well Xmas shopping completed at LHR T3 Duty Free....just 3 1/2 hours before departure and a rather jolly Aregentinian red in the F lounge. Can one of you remind me to take the Harrods bag out of the carry on locker when I reach Singapore please....hic.

I'd forgotten how expensive Australia is - until I read the latest offer from Oporto on their Facebook page:

If you come into Oporto today, you can bite into the Oporto Mega Bite Strips meal for just 9.98! Save $4.48.
Ho Ho Holy Moly! That’s a Single fillet Bondi Burger, two chicken strips, small chips, a 375ml can of drink and mash & gravy!

Holy Moley indeed! $14.50 regular price for that meal? Pfft.

Well thanks for the reminder to collect the Harrods bag. Good job the FA's were good! :p

The shopping's great over there in the UK. I just called up to order some Chanel sunnies from an online store and just about fell off my chair when advised that the already pretty cheap price ( cf. DJ's etc) was going to have VAT deducted as being shipped to Australia!
Should have ordered two pairs, take that Gerry Harvey ;)

I'm looking forward to waking into the A&F store next week. ;)

I almost feel sorry for him as his shares now sell below the net tangible asset level as he has not "got it" yet.
Retail in Australia needs rents to be halved and wage penalties need to be restructured to get us back to buying competitively in Australia. That drift away from Australian retailers is growing quickly.
Go to an Australia Post parcel delivery window after 5.00 pm and the line is more massive than at Macy's cash register when they have a sale running.
