Well I've got an interview tomorrow for a job I've written the book about. And they will get me for a little less than my last job. I must admit, I'll be mightily disappointed if I miss out, although it's always on the cards.

It will be bitter/sweet whichever way it goes - if I get the job I'll have to postpone our European Adventure, due to start in early March, at a cost of several thousand (I'll be able to get some of the pre-paid tours cost back). If I don't get this one, I think I'll wait until after our holiday before getting serious again.

Good luck hope the new role includes lots of DJ J class travel.

Good luck with the interview, I've had two in the last week which I am happy with. Hopefully I'll progress to second interviews. Have another application to complete in the next week or so. Just a matter of keeping on plugging away.

I know exactly what you mean about holidays with a three week USA trip planned for May which I'll probably have to cancel when I get a job. Fortunately I can cancel without penalty which is good.

Still, tomorrow I will requalify for WP on the 20[SUP]th[/SUP] day of my new membership year thanks to DSCs (doing a JASA to MEL-SYD-AYQ return for the day).

Look forward to seeing lots of you on Saturday night.

Good luck. Ironically, this job is with the Victorian PS, which both you and I left a couple of decades ago. I must have missed something, Saturday night?

2012 was quite a year....I landed pretty poorly at LaGuardia, taxied onto the grass at San Diego but did quite well going into and out of Kai Tak International in Hong Kong and John Wayne Airport south of Los Angeles. My handling of the 737 was less than superb so don't come running to me to land a plane anytime soon. Flight Experience on their 737 was really good fun (Newcastle Street in Perth)...and I only messed up 50% of the landings!

Somewhat earlier than expected, but, hey. I'm back early. I've just had some good news and things are starting to look on the up. Apologies to anyone who I may have caused worry/concern to!

Welcome back,

That was a quick holiday from AFF.

Thanks all. Still trying to get through my PM's in my inbox. In hindsight I'd rather have gone and come back quickly (rather unexpected TBH) than gone and not come back at all!

Nice to have you back Flash.I do trust all will remain well for many years to come.

Yes I can mangle English as well as anyone.
At least this time I made someone smile rather than upset them with their misinterpretation of my fractured English.Happy you had a laugh.;)
I was laughing but still serious.

I have a really short fuse and I cannot stand people trying to rush in before everyone is out.

I think I received a Christmas Card meant for cove today. It had his name on the front, anyway.
