Well it's 4.30 am here and the birds are singing and dawn is breaking. Up in London you have quite a wait for that to happen.
Water restrictions were looking less likely over there compared with the start of the year.
Don't ask me to land a plane anytime soon as I am a Mr50percent on that. Lucky I was weeded out by Qantas when I was 18.
Qantas seem to fret over hull losses and I guess they saw I had a zero in mechanical aptitude in their testing in the seventies.

I'm not doing the housework until this afternoon just in case it happens. Imagine wasting your last hours alive doing housework? I'd much rather be posting here or even better flying somewhere.

Pretty smart those Mayans if they new the centre of the world as far as time goes is Greenwich, given they were in Central America!

I saw your high level of optimism by prepaying for a Hilton room. Could be good thinking where you get the best room in the joint.
Instead I bought shares in an insurance company so that I could invest it till its all gone attitude.

Bloody marvelous, my temporary crown has just broken.......after two days service! Well that will take care of my day. A nice jaunt into the city for the third time this week. :evil:

Nah, there is more to the story. The train after that was cancelled due to signalling issues - this makes the chance of that delayed train arriving a lot lower. And when signalling problems occur, often they start off with a 1 min delay, then every minute or so have a new announcement that the train is now delayed +1 minutes. I was expecting that.
In the end, it did arrive about 9 mins late. Not too shabby.

I still think we're 24 hours out on the end of the world. I haven't looked into this at all, but if 21/12/12 is the last day then surely the end will be at the end of that last day. ie midnight tonight. Meaning the world will end tomorrow of those in the antipodeans.
