The view from my "office"

I have never seen that TR - so I will make it my mission to find it! We are just packing ready to do a day trip to Temburong today. I don't like heights so I will not be climbing any of the observation towers however.

If memory serves me right..... it'd be around 2007/2008. Brunei and Miri (Sarawak) in Malaysia. Those keywords should pinpoint it for you.

To assist you in your search (as I know you are Overseas) - From PER to Brunei and across the border to Malaysia and back

OK, I'm fed up with all the pics of pristine beaches and sunshine, so here is my office from Tuesday ... sort of the exact opposite of being a FFer I guess! A "bogger" coming down a tunnel toward me at about 5km into a mountain and another one in an underground workshop. Despite the cabin, the bogger in the bottom pic is operated remotely from the surface via fibre optic and telemetry.

Temburong National Park in Brunei. Palm Oil is not produced here and about 60 - 0% of the country is National Park . Using a longboat to go up the river. There have been very poor rains lately so the water is low and lots of rapids have appeared.

After about 40 minutes we nosed into the bank and had to climb about 780 uneven wooden steps up the side of the hill to the Jungle Canopy Lookout. The lookout is built of scaffolding and only 5 people at a time are allowed to be on the walkway. If you think this old, fat, black duck climbed the 200 odd ladder steps to the top - you are sadly mistaken.

Superb office environment.

I have had a read now, looked good. The city still looks pretty much the same but you can see new houses in the Kampong Ayer. You will be pleased to know that our boat trip only cost $20 a head:D. But it was a bit under 2 hours and we didn't actually stop at Kampong Ayer. Instead we stopped for a fair while with the nose of the boat pushed firmly into the mangroves so we could get a good look at the monkeys.

swanning_it, reminds me of my previous life. What ore is it?
Ore? We're digging a tunnel to Hong Kong so we don't have to worry about the VA/VS lounge issues!

Or maybe it's that shiny yellow looking rock that people seem to adorn themselves with!
