Tigerair Australia Delays/Cancellations

On Friday 10 March, TT582 (0700 hours MEL - CNS) has been cancelled, as has TT421, the mid evening 2145 hours MEL - PER.

On a holiday weekend (Monday is Labour Day in Melbourne), how on earth do these passengers get to PER?

On Monday 13 March 2017, TT358 (0910 hours SYD - BNE, A320 VH-VNO) did not take off until 1020 with arrival at 1017, 32 minutes late the likely result.

Earlier (between 0600 and 0645) there were no aircraft departing MEL due to a fuel supply problem caused by a computer, as Dmac6345 advised us in another thread.

Later on Wednesday 15 March, TT679, the 1435 hours CNS down to SYD that took off at 1502 hours should arrive at about 1910, 40 minutes late with A320 VH-VNR. It was in a holding pattern a little west of Polkobin so that accounts for the 'extra' delay.

Thursday 16 March has TT233, the 1105 hours SYD - MEL not having taken off until 1206; arrival of A320 VH-VNC should be 37 minutes tardy at 1317 early this afternoon.

In the opposite direction, TT228, the 1110 hours that was airborne at 1157 should arrive at around 1307, 32 late. Plane is VH-VNQ.

UPDATE: A320 VH-XUG on TT263 (1724 hours SYD - MEL that took off at 1815) should arrive at around 1938 tonight, 38 minutes late.

On Sunday 19 March 2017, TT557 (1145 hours OOL to MEL that was not in the sky until 1509, mid afternoon) should arrive at about 1805 hours, 180 minutes late with A320 VH-VNB. This will delay TT530, the 150 hours MEL - BNE by almost three hours to a projected departure at about 1835.

Northbound TT562 (the 1300 hours from MEL to OOL) took off at about 1540. TT583, the scheduled 1755 hours MEL arrival ex OOL should arrive at roughly 2010 this evening.

The 1825 hours MEL - SYD Tt264 is not expected to depart until about 2045.

TT533 from BNE to MEL is timetabled to be on blocks in the southern capital at 2105 mid evening tonight but is not predicted to be finished with that flight's task until about 2330.

TT279, the 2025 hours evening flight from SYD down to MEL is forecast to arrive 115 minutes late at 2355.

Monday 20 March 2017 sees TT228, the 1110 hours MEL up to SYD that was airborne at 1156 arriving at about 1307, 32 late with A320 VH-VNO.

UPDATE: VH-VNO was later on the 1725 hours SYD - MEL (TT263) that was airborne at 1825; arrival is predicted at 1938, 38 late.

TT471 (1720 hours MEL across to ADL that took off at 1903 hours, VH-VNB) should be at its arrival spot on the tarmac at 1936, 81 minutes behind schedule.

Tuesday 21 March 2017 sees T393 (1025 mid morning flight from PPP down to SYD, A320 VH-VNP) having become airborne at 1150. Likely arrival has therefore been delayed to 1455, 70 minutes late.

TT585 (1055 hours CNS - MEL, A320 VH-VNO) was airborne at a late 1234 so 1637 hours is its predicted arrival. This would be 77 late.

TT664, the 1240 hours CBNR - MEL short flight did not take off until 1357. VH-VNB is predicted to arrive 67 minutes late a 1457 but as at 1434 was in a holding position over the rugged Howqua Valley area southeast of Mansfield, Vic.

In the opposite direction, TT252, the 1530 hours took off 85 minutes after scheduled pushback. VH-VNH should pull in to its designated tarmac space at 1845, 110 late.

On Wednesday 22 March with Sydney 'enjoying' some stormy weather, TT263, the 1725 hours SYD - MEL took off at 2016 with the timetabled 1900 hours arrival suggested as instead likely to occur at 2135. Aircraft is A320 VH-VNJ.

TT623 (1700 hours OOL down to SYD that was airborne at 1855 with VH-VNG) should arrive 98 minutes late at 2108.

The 1720 hours MEL across to ADL (TT471, VH-VNO) took off at 2100 hours this evening so expected arrival is 2121, 186 minutes behind schedule.

Continuing with Friday 24 March 2017, TT373 (1430 hours mid afternoon from BNE down to SYD, A320 VH-VNF) was in the sky at 1536. It is predicted to be at its designated tarmac spot at 1803, 58 minutes late.

FR24 is reporting that (on 24 March?) the redeye from PER to SYD (TT758) returned to its gate shortly after departure due to a passenger bringing durian on board and hence causing a pungent smell. I have enjoyed durian shakes in Philippines but have not eaten the flesh: it is allegedly a 'different' but some say an 'attractive' taste, but the smell is offputting.

On Sunday 26 March 2017, TT256, the 1645 hours MEL - SYD that took off at 1729 should arrive at 1841, 31 minutes late with A320 VH-VNP.

Monday 27 March 2017 sees TT522 (1115 hours MEL - BNE) as on the list of cancellations.

TT213 (A320 VH-VNH, the 0700 SYD - MEL that took off at 0754) should arrive at about 0909 hours, 34 minutes late.

Also on Monday 27 March, TT700 (0905 hours MEL - CFS that was airborne at 1002) should be on blocks 48 minutes tardy at 1143 with A320 VH-VNH, so it wil have lost further time since its earlier flight (Tt213 as noted above) this morning.
