Very late evening on Thursday 20 April, TT263, the 1725 hours SYD - MEL that took off at an extremely late 2159 is arriving at 2309, 244 minutes late with F100 VH-XWM. This is the second time in recent weeks that a Fokker has been observed on a TT flight: I may have missed other uses. Not what one might expect, as many of us may have thought that apart from the brief (to date) flirtation with B738s, TT was wedded to ubiquitous A320s.
This QQ aircraft (Alliance Airlines) also ran TT252, the 1530 hours MEL - SYD this afternoon. It has also undertaken MEL to BNE, CBR, CFS and OOL TT flights in recent days, and appears to always have a TT flight number.
Can we call this 'subbing?' Is it planned in advance or only when the TT A320s experience failures?
Is the crew totally Alliance Airlines or are there some Tigerair staff on board?
