Later on 1 June, A320 VH-VNR (TT461, 1335 hours from MEL across to ADL that was in the sky at 1424 hours) should arrive at roughly 1505, 35 minutes behind the timetable.

The return flight (TT464, the 1500 hours ADL - MEL that took off at 1601) should pull in at around 1741, 51 minutes late, so it has lost time since its ADL-bound trip. In turn, this may delay TT260, the timetabled 1755 hours MEL - SYD as a 'knock-on' effect.

The late afternoon of Saturday 3 June has TT253 (1515 hours SYD to MEL, A320 VH-VNB) having taken off at 1622. A 1738 hours arrival is on the cards, 48 minutes tardy.

On Sunday 4 June 2017, while TT224 (1010 MEL - SYD) is still operating, the closely spaced TT226 (1025 hours on the same route and direction) has been cancelled. Southbound, TT219, the 0825 hours SYD - MEL has also got the boot.

TT518, the 0935 hours MEL - BNE is estimated to depart at 1100. This is due to TT511, the scheduled 0905 arrival in MEL ex BNE instead arriving at a suggested 1030 hours. It appears to have returned to BNE soon after takeoff this morning.

UPDATE: TT518 (A320 VH-VNK) did not take off until 1248, arriving BNE at about 1445.

The Wednesday 7 June 2017 TT357 is en route from BNE to a rain-soaked SYD. This 0710 hours scheduled departure with A320 VH-VNO was airborne at a delayed 0841; arrival is anticipated at 0956, 71 minutes tardy.

Southbound SYD - MEL TT219 took off at 0929 hours and with A320 VH-VNJ should arrive at 1040 hours, 50 minutes late.

In the opposite direction, TT212 was meant to depart at 0745 from MEL but did not take off until 0906 hours. SYD arrival is forecast for 1026, 71 minutes behind the timetable. The following and quite closely spaced flight, TT214 (F100 VH-XWO) is predicted to arrive in SYD at 1039, 69 minutes behind schedule.

In further on what has been a wet Wednesday 7 June in SYD, TT251 (A320 VH-VNH), the 1440 hours from SYD to MEL had yet to commence pushing back by 1533, so will be at least 45 minutes late into the southern capital.

Later on 7 June, TT529 (1510 hours BNE - MEL that did not become airborne until 1729, F100 VH-XWM) is predicted to arrive at roughly 1927, 112 minutes tardy.

This has not been helping:

TT282, the 2105 hours MEL - SYD took off at 2142 with A320 VH-VNH. Arrival should be at 2250, 20 minutes late, and included here because while not half an hour or more late it is quite close to the 2300 hours commencement of the dreaded curfew.

TT389, the 2005 hours BNE - SYD was in the sky at 2140. VH-VNR should arrive at about 2256 late tonight, 76 late and not long before the curfew, although the critical time is when an aircraft lands not when it arrives at the terminal.

Thursday 8 June sees TT263 (1725 hours SYD down to MEL, unusually B738 VH-VUD not an A320 or F100) that was not airborne until 1835, about 55 minutes late, likely to arrive at 2000 hours, an hour tardy.

Returning to SYD as TT272 (the 1940 hours departure), the same B738 took off from MEL at 2057 with expected arrival in the northern city at 2206, 61 minutes late.

A320 VH-VNG (TT504, the 1750 hours HBA - MEL that was in the sky at 1841) should pull in to the capital of Victoria at around 2001 hours, 51 late.

Rainy weather in and around SYD during the evening of Friday 9 June has led to an extremely large number of arriving aircraft being placed by ATC in lengthy holding positions.

TT644, the 1800 hours from ADL across to SYD took off very punctually at 1811 but A320 VH-VNQ is arriving at 2054, 34 minutes late - and it is one of the less extensive delays to inbound flights to the harbour city.

The 1940 hours MEL - SYD (Tt272) took off at 2113 hours with B738 VH-VUD. Arrival at 2227, 82 minutes late is suggested.

On Saturday 10 June, the 0820 hours MEL - ADL is shockingly late with a new departure time of 1310 this afternoon.

TT224 (1025 hours MEL up to SYd that departed at 1112, A320 VH-VND) should arrive at around 1225 hours, 35 minutes tardy.

TT562, the 1300 hours Sunday 11 June MEL - OOL has been retimed to depart at 1500 hours.

The 1215 hours lunchtime TT524 from MEL up to BNE (A320 VH-XUG) did not take off until exactly 1300 hours. It should pull in to its designated airport spot at 1500 hours, half an hour behind schedule.

TT263, the Sunday 11 June 1725 hours late afternoon on a holiday weekend from SYD down to MEL did not take off until 1834. B738 VH-VUD should arrive at around 1947 hours, 47 late.

The 1825 hours MEL - SYD (TT264) is expected to depart 120 minutes late at 2025.

As at 0500 hours on Monday 12 June, SYD appeared to have a good chance of fog - so we will see.

TT783, the redeye fromPER up to BNE should arrive at around 0720 hours, 85 minutes tardy with A320 VH-VNB as it took off from PER at 0114 hours compared with its Sunday 11 June departure time of 2330 hours.

Sons Tiger flight Syd-ADL delayed due to fog. (They made an incredibly tight connection from international flight so a bit miffed they had dashed)

In a further fog-related delay, TT206, the 0645 hours MEL - SYD took off at 0848 hours on Monday 12 June and is suggested to arrive at 1002, 107 minutes late with A320 VH-XUH.

A320 VH-VNQ on the early morning 0710 hours BNE - SYD, TT357 did not become airborne until 0928; arrival is estimated at 1041, 116 minutes later than the timetable mandates.

TT507, the 0945 hours arrival in MEL ex BNE was cancelled.

Later on Monday 12 June 2017, TT221, the 0850 hours SYD - MEL (A320 VH-VNQ that was earlier badly delayed on TT357) had yet to take off by 1147 so is about two and a half hours late.

TT397 (1225 hours lunchtime PPP - SYD, A320 VH-VNF) should arrive at 1535, 50 minutes late.

The 1100 hours ADL - SYD TT636 was not in the sky until 1305 with VH-XUH, another A320. Arrival is forecast for 1522, 122 minutes behind the schedule.

Much later on Monday 12 June 2017, TT314 (A320 VH-VNQ, the 1650 hours ADL - BNE that did not take off until 2052 hours) should arrive at about 2301 hours instead of 1940, or 201 minutes tardy. It has got progressively later during the day (see two posts above.)

TT535, the 1850 hours BNE down to MEL with A320 VH-VUH was airborne at 2123 tonight so arrival in the southern city is likely at 2331 hours, 136 minutes tardy. Compared with how it was in post 336 above, it has 'lost' an estimated further 14 minutes.

Not exactly a stellar day for TT given its small fleet.

Thursday 15 June 2017 sees extensive morning delays (and some cancellations) affecting the majors northbound on the busy MEL - SYD route.

TT206, the 0645 hours has been changed to depart at an estimated 0830 while TT214, the 0800 becomes an 0930 hours. Later in the day the 1215 hours lunchtime MEL - BNE, TT524 is forecast to instead pushback at 1335 hours.

Unlike AVV, MEL does not appear to be fog bound and some other flights such as the diverted QF2 have departed around 0600 hour. Is ATC mandating new controlled departure times due to network congestion, or has there been a power failure or some other cause?

UPDATE: AFF member Flightstatus advises these delays are due to fog in SYD although as at 0700 hours planes appeared to be still landing and taking off there.

TT247, the 1350 hours from SYD down to MEL (A320 VH-VND) did not become airborne until 1638, so arrival is not expected until 1806, 161 minutes delayed. This looks to be delaying the 1735 hours MEL - CBR, TT665 until about 1840 hours in its departure.

The 1535 hours TT565 from OOL down to MEL took off at 1609 and so A320 VH-XUG should arrive at approximately 1825 during the early part of the evening, half an hour late.
