Tigerair Australia Delays/Cancellations

Later on Monday 10 July, TT703, the late morning 1115 hours CFS down to MEL is shockingly behind schedule, having taken off at 1538 mid afternoon. Arrival of A320 VH-VNK is estimated as 1728 hours instead of 1315, or 253 late. It had earlier arrived on time on TT700 from MEL up to CFS (due in at 1040) so goodness knows what went wrong.

Thursday 13 July has seen TT219, the 0815 hours SYD down to MEL cancelled. This is also the fate of TT224 (1145 hours MEL - SYD) and TT564 (the mid afternoon 1430 hours MEL up to OOL.)

A320 VH-VNJ on TT218, the 0905 hours MEL - SYD took off at 1025, being further delayed by the single runway ops due to strong winds underway in MEL, so arrival should be at about 1130, an hour late.

TT228, the 1110 hours MEL - SYD (B738 VH-VUD) that was in the sky at 1200 'high noon' should pull in to the mainland harbour city at 1219 this afternoon, 44 minutes behind schedule.

TT668 (Thursday 13 July's 1910 hours CBR - MEL that took off at 1954) should arrive at roughly 2112 hours, 52 minutes late as it had been placed in a holding pattern over Mt Buller, Vic.

Northbound MEL - SYD TT272, the 1940 hours took off at 2042 so arrival will not occur until about 2201, 56 minutes behind schedule. A320 VH-VNP is the aircraft.

On a relatively benign mid winter's day weather wise one might not expect many delays mid afternoon on a Saturday, one of the slackest times of the week for domestic air travel, but TT247, the 1350 hours SYD - MEL did not take off until 1443 hours with arrival of A320 VH-VNP suggested as 1557, 32 minutes late.

TT623 (1846 takeoff from OOL but a 1720 timetabled departure for the flight down to SYD, A320 VH-VNJ) should arrive at 2000 hours, 70 minutes late.

With fairly stong winds during the early evening of Sunday 16 July, MEL may be down to one runway. TT664 (1705 hours CBR - MEL that was airborne at 1742, A320 VH-VNF) should arrive at about 1849, 34 minutes late.

Monday 17 July sees TT206 (0700 hours SYD down to MEL that was airborne at 0751) likely to pull in at 0911 hours, 36 minutes late. Aircraft is A320 VH-VNH.

In further on another windy day, TT228 (1110 hours MEL to SYD that took off at 1213) should arrive at 1329 hours, 54 minutes late. Aircraft is B738 VH-VUB.

Southbound TT231 (A320 VH-XUG, the 1045 from SYD that was airborne at 1125) should have its MEL arrival ay 1256, 36 minutes behind.

On Tuesday 18 July, TT514, the 0700 hours early morning MEL - BNE (A320 VH-VNQ that was in the sky at 0807) is predicted to arrive at 1013 hours, 58 minutes late.

Friday 21 July has the evening TT272, the evening 1940 hours from MEL up to SYD that was in the sky at 2039 (A320 VH-VND) likely to arrive at 2144, 39 minutes late.

TT524 (1215 hours MEL - BNE on Saturday 22 July, B738 VH-VOY) was airborne at 1323 and should arrive at 1505 hours, 35 minutes tardy.

On Tuesday 25 July, TT524, the 1215 hours MEL up to BNE (F100 VH-UQW, a QQ aircraft) had not taken off by 1334 so it will be more than an hour late at its Queensland destination.

Wednesday 26 July sees the offpeak TT636 (1100 ADL - SYD that was in the sky at 1218 with A320 VH-VNG) having to hold a little northeast of Goulburn NSW with arrival suggested as 1426, 66 minutes late.

At 1422 hours or so, TT677, the 1105 hours CNS down to SYD (A320 VH-VNK that was in the sky at 1202) had just escaped its holding pattern to Polkobin NSW's west, so arrival at 1444 hours will be 44 minutes tardy.

TT612 (1210 hours SYD up to OOL that ddid not take off until 1421 this afternoon (A320 VH-VNB) is estimated to arrive at 1528, 118 minutes past its timetabled requirement.

Most aircraft (not QF27) appear to be using the SYD east-west runway 25 which is causing extensive delays.

Fog in Melbourne on Wednesday 2 August resulted in two VA flights (one each from HBA and CBR) having missed approaches at about 0730 hours.

As at 0745, all domestic departures seem to be taking off to the west. TT514 (0700 hours MEL up to BNE, A320 VH-XUH) was not airborne until 0757, so arrival will be more than 40 minutes late.

TT206 (0645 hours MEL up to SYD with A320 VH-VND) was then third in the MEL queue behind the also delayed VA309 and less delayed QF402. TT206 will be at least 55 minutes late into SYD despite TT allowing 90 minutes gate-to-gate northbound on this route when VA and QF have 85 minute schedules.

TT206 finally took off at 0825 hours, so its 0815 arrival will become about 0930 at least.

A320 VH-VNB, the 0725 hours MEL - ADL (TT447) was airborne at 0829 so it is about 45 minutes late. Visibility for arrivals at touchdown in MEL at 0831 was 550 metres.

TT552 (0800 hours MEL - OOL, B738 VH-VUB) was airborne at 0905.

MEL delays may have moderated into the afternoon of Wednesday 2 August but TT247 (1350 hours SYD - MEL that took off at 1511 with A320 VH-VND) looks to be arriving at 1628 hours, 63 late.
