Now for the grass front and back plus the vegetables patch - that’ll finish it off
If only it was that simple :p

Electricians are here changing over all our power points and switches.

Soil delivery and IKEA delivery due in a few hours. Got two evenings to finish spreading and levelling the back.

All hands on deck Saturday to get 130sqm of turf rolled out. Eventually the fruit trees will be planted. Then at some point we tackle the front and sides .

Will be glorious weather to do all that. Summer hasn’t hit yet! Take lots of photos for your album. We still like looking at ours. There’s temptation to get it all done at once but it’s constantly evolving.

The rain overnight was a bit unfortunate. But will be dry Saturday for turfing then wet Sunday to bed it all in.

But that’s better than a hot northerly wind taking all the soil away. It’s going to be 30 here tomorrow but cooler Saturday.
Except when it gets too wet to walk on, which means you can't finish the prep work. Time is getting tight.

Soil. Sun. Water = Weeds.
Weeds. RoundUp = No Weeds.

Simples :)
Aren’t they thinking of banning round up? Actually TomV, be very careful with poisons around people who um, are in a delicate condition

Also, MrP had a friend who developed a medical condition and died from handling potting soil. I think it was legionnaires. Wear a mask and gloves and wash hands immediately. There was also an Adelaide radio garden type commentator who developed Legionaires a few weeks ago and was seriously ill in hospital for weeks and still hasn’t recovered. MrP always lectures me when I am in a gardening mood. Fair enough I guess.

Mum and her other half finished moving the soil this morning. Just need to do a final spread and level in the morning.

I'll be leaving TV to deal with the weeds out of the front.

Got someone coming to quote on curtains for the front tomorrow. so that we don't have to put the blinds down to use the shower etc.

I need to find the weed spray...
If only you were in Sydney!

And yes, be careful around Ms BC and the doggies and always handle products as per the packet and this includes the dogs wanting to eat the potting mix/bark and snail pellets.

Of course, Im guilty of totally ignoring all the warnings but I dont have kids or pets so always be careful.
