Re: UK - in or out of the EU?

Death threats along with rape threats seem to be all too common from many thugs these days. A NSW mid coast chiropractor was found guilty recently. Haters don't seem to need much to hate nowadays.

I'd never see a Chiro that was wearing a mask :D

Re: UK - in or out of the EU?

It's funny how most of the arguments for the leave campaign were total lies. Limiting European immigration = False. Giving more money to the NHS = False. Cherry Picking EU laws = False.

I find it quite funny those in favour of limiting immigration to the UK on this forum don't raise issues with a subclass of workers here in Australia due to 457 and student visa rorts.

I didn't want the UK to leave Britain as I believe as both mutually benefit each other on a number of levels.

However if it sees England losing Scotland to the EU

If it sees England losing Northern Ireland to the EU/Ireland

If it sees England losing Gibraltar to the EU/Spain

I shall be a happy camper.

Don't worry England, you still got Wales and the Falkland Islands.

To those that don't think Britain will have another referendum, the UK had a referendum in 1975 for the ECC and resoundingly voted 2 to 1 and the UK being a democracy can demand to have another vote.

George Soros notes the leave campaign have retracted their dishonest claims. He also notes that the Brexit has unleashed another financial market crisis.

The UK's decision meant "the hypothetical became very real", Mr Soros said on Thursday. "Sterling plunged, Scotland threatened to break away, and some of the working people who supported the 'Leave' campaign have started to realise the bleak future that both the country and they personally face. Even the champions of Leave are retracting their dishonest pre-referendum claims about Brexit."

I realise most of the posters leave posters here are baby boomers who were probably born with silver spoons in mouth who have no qualms with selling the family silver to fund their lifestyles. However most of the people that voted leave were poor and seduced by lies from idiots like Boris and Farage,

It's all there in the numbers. Of the top five areas for Brexit, the median income was around £18,000 ($32,400); in the top five areas for Remain, it was around £35,000.
Brexit was strongest in heavily white areas where average levels of education were very low.

Thank you Margaret Thatcher.

I love how Boris Johnson was conned into the leave campaign.

Alistair Camp probably said it best.

There may also be people thinking rationally with the ability to string together a coherent argument in their own words rather than rely on selective quotes from all over the place.

This whole thing has brought out ugliness from left, right, and centre. Even uglier than your avatar.

I see the pro Stay arguments are still about "stupidity" and other abuse. Ho hum. I guess that's all that's left, now that the scares are coming unstuck.

Thank you Margaret Thatcher.
:lol::lol::lol:

Ya gotta be kidding, right? Surely you mean John Howard?

Yeah, it was the guy behind the grassy knoll that dunnit.

Re: UK - in or out of the EU?

It's amusing to see the Remain camp revealing their true character as a motley crew of vicious, nasty, arrogant, condescending spooky brats who cannot accept the democratic will of the people.

The only financial market crisis is that Soros personally lost money because he bet big on Remain by longing the pound. The FTSE has already fully recovered and major banks like HSBC have confirmed that the result won't result in them relocating offshore.

Thank God that the UK was saved from the grip of the ugly fascists who wanted to extinguish the last vestiges of sovereign British democracy and enslave the population to the dictates of the Brussels commissars.

P.S. Where is World War III and the Great Depression? According to bed wetting Remainers like Cameron and Osborne both were meant to start by now.

And the Remain campaign was completely full of lies. Both sides lied, so don't try to cover that up.

The FTSE100 is back where it was before the vote. Another peddled lie by remainers that the world has collapsed.

I take offence to your criteria for brexiters. Your characterisations are completely false.

Re: UK - in or out of the EU?

The downturn is going to be eased by England printing money and I believe that George Osborne has concluded this is the answer. As for Scotland let them be stay in the EU as they cannot pay their fair share way in a united Britain.

What an unmitigated load of tosh.
And what a hateful description of those of us saying things in support of Brexit.Yes I am a baby boomer born in 1946.Guess what.Silver spoons weren't too common then due to a minor little problem the world had for the previous 6 years.
And you must have forgotten my comments on 457 visas in a previous election thread. They have been abused definitely but then there are cases of 457 visas being used for the good of Australia. The founder of Atlassian has publicly explained why his company needed them-and they weren't for lowly paid workers.
But then you don't seem to have any sympathy for hard workers such as our dairy farmers many of whom are facing bankruptcy.Brexit may just mean a better future with the UK market opening up for them.

Any way I know you are not swayed by facts but I found this video of another millennial using bad language to come up with the answer for you.

They cannot simply stay on. Spain would veto this as it would embolden Catalonia's separatist plans. Nicola Sturgeon was told this week that only sovereign nations can apply to join the EU.

Re: UK - in or out of the EU?

Don't panic Australian tourists have swamped the foreign exchange places to buy up pounds. Australia is coming to GB on the cheap.

Re: UK - in or out of the EU?

Goodness whatmeworry, you just totally lost my support here and I was hoping for a stay!

Nope - what would be really stupid is to believe the opinions of a long-time partisan political spin doctor (whom was subsequently found to have distorted and exaggerated intelligence information about WMD's in Iraq) would in any way be relevant to the decision making process and decision that the voters in the UK have taken. Here's a master spin doctor and a guy who has made a living by playing fast and loose with the truth, and in the interview he's now complaining about people who use exaggeration to support their particular arguments. Are you seriously putting him forward in your arguments to support the Remain cause?

Which reminds me, the Chilcot report is finally due to be published next week.

Re: UK - in or out of the EU?

Which reminds me, the Chilcot report is finally due to be published next week.

Just to show how crazy things have got - many UK commentators are saying that Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn is hanging out for the Chilcot report to shore up his leadership of the party! A report about a Labour PM and actions all those years ago to take the heat off his non-position on the EU, and his latest fumble over anti-semitism. Should be another fun week coming up.
