Last week I flew with SQ in J to HKG via SIN. Very average FF Lounge in BNE. On board staff pleasant, but old planes to and from BNE are a shame. No comparison to the A380s on the HKG-SIN leg. Not sure why BNE always seems to miss out on the new aircraft.

My guess is that these seats are On hold. So after 5 days they may be released back to the pool ....

Cheers, I thought that would be the case. Fingers crossed it gets back to award inventory. I will check twice daily for the next few days to see how it goes.

TG910/1 to London is scheduled to become an A380 service from 01 Dec - certainly wouldn't rely on that date but it seems the A380 will serve LHR after all.

Bangkok – London Heathroweff 01DEC13 TG910/911 Airbus A380 replaces Boeing 747 (Boeing 747 currently loaded from 28OCT13 to 30NOV13)

For all those who have been hoping for the once mentioned SYD A380 service in late '13...well there's no mention of that here.

THAI W13 Operation Changes as of 24MAY13 | Airline Route – Worldwide Airline Route Updates

New service to VIE is a bit surprising.

Re: US Dividend Miles - post your SUCCESSFUL award bookings here.

First hiccough with a USDM booking for me....

After seeing that the NRT-SEA route was reinstated (unfortunately with an older 777 rather than the 787 we booked for) I called ANA to try and nab the First-sold-as Biz seats... Lucky I did because somewhere along the line our booking on that one flight had disappeared.

ANA said call US... which I did... and probably only because availability STILL existed I was told all was back to normal...

Until I discovered the full taxes had been charged again... SIGH!

Now to call again and argue that one. ANA says US cancelled it... US says "Huh?"

ANA agent actually suggested we stay a day in Tokyo and fly (on the 787) to SJC the following day instead- as there was award availability.... but of course "no changes after departure" and we are halfway through the trip.... SIGH!

Called ANA again...confirmed on the flight at least... but was not able to allocate the row 1 or 2 seats online... all but one of which remain available for paid bookings... SO.. looks like trying for them at NRT.... Fingers crossed.

Good to see them back in LAX - would be a long but possible Pacific solution.

Re: US Dividend Miles - post your SUCCESSFUL award bookings here.

Sorry, i was hoping someone will be able to help me out on this one. Does anyone know how much points are required for the following flight in business.

Mel-BKK(stopover)-SGN(stopover)-HKG (stopover)-BKK-MEL

Do you know if I am able to redeem the above route for 90K in business??

As bcworld pointed out, you can only have 1 stopover on the way to your destination, and it is supposed to be a *A hub (which BKK is).

Therefore, you could have either MEL-BKK(stopover)-SGN (destination)-BKK-MEL
or
MEL-BKK(stopover)-HKG (destination)-BKK-MEL
for 90k in business. Either option should be a very straightforward booking and you should have no troubles.

Since SGN is relatively close to BKK and TG currently run an A380 between BKK and HKG I would definitely go the HKG destination option and just buy a cheap rev ticket BKK-SGN-BKK for your stopover. I've flown Air Asia on this route and they're perfectly fine.

The A330s certainly aren't 'old' - the product is different sure, but not old either.

If BNE were served by SQ 77Ws then you would've been flying TG!

I just want to check your experiences on this. Looking at the USDM membership guide online, it was not that clear.

If i book an award in 1 PNR for 3 people travelling together, and then I want to change the dates of the flights for that PNR, do I need to pay $150 per PNR, or $150 per person (ie $450)?

Per ticket i.e. per person.

Re: US Dividend Miles - post your SUCCESSFUL award bookings here.

Thanks everyone for the wonderful responses !!!!

Wow... ok, so I'm on the verge of total excitement here! With the absolute help and info. from this forum, I've just received US Airways confirmation of a booking for mum and dad to go business class SYD to MLA via VIE and a few other places. I'll put all details up the other thread shortly, and post a few things from my experience back here shortly. For now though, I'm just seeking some final confirmation etc., about the booking! US Airways have given me a 6 letter reservation code, which brings up the booking on their site - I can't select seats though (It also says booking class is unknown?). They also gave me a Thai Airways reservation code, and another one "For all other airlines" the agent said (includes Austrian Airlines and Lufthansa). Only thing is, I can't seem to find any way online of logging into a thai booking, and trying Lufthansa with either the ticket number or "all other airlines" code returns an error: "we are unable to find a valid ticket for you"?? Should I be concerned? Is that something I can only call and speak to the airlines about or is their an online way of confirming this is all locked in in business with all these airlines and possibly select seats? Is it normal for the US Airways site to say booking class unknown? THANKS heaps again.

Yes, booking class always says unknown.

Check Booking is available on the home page of thaiairways.com - there is no online seat selection however. I found the OS website offered me the chance to seats on my connecting TG flight but that it always failed.

yes. you should be concerned if you cannot retrieve your booking on the LH site with an LH booking reference.

Phew!

Thanks... I have now managed to pull up some details on the Thai website and on the OS website... It's a bit strange; Thai lists the flight as SYD-BKK-SIN-CPH-VIE(which is where stopover is meant to be), then it picks up the return leg from the destination of MLA-MUC-BKK-SYD; showing one Lufthansa flight there but not the VIE-FRA-MLA leg? On the Austrian site, it just picks up from BKK (no Syd-BKK leg!), but does include the rest (BKK-SIN-CPH-VIE-FRA-MLA-MUC-BKK-SYD). So between them both, all legs are showing at least somewhere! (incl. Lufthansa ones). I'm feeling more confident...

I found the OS website offered me the chance to seats on my connecting TG flight but that it always failed.
Yep, similar experience here... all looked to be working but then it says it can't save...
