Velocity to partner with 7-Eleven

OT: real pity that there are no 7 elevens in South Aust.
X conveniece was smart to buy into this, from Mobil, and block 7 eleven from coming into South Aust.
When I went to BNE, it was an eye opener to see them around, nearly everywhere had a 7 eleven, some were deli sort of places, ie, not a petrol station.OT

My first purchase was at their Southbank TAFE outlet.
Will definitely chase up some more points earning with them when I next go travel interstate.

The other week when i logged into the 7-11 app i accidently hit "no" to the disclaimer that pops up and so then somehow my 7-11 account was deleted as when i tried to login again it would not let me.
I then made a new account with the same email address which it allowed me to do. My Velocity was not linked so i linked that back up again.

Anyway long story short, after linking my velocity account again and filling up with fuel, i was given another 250 velocity points for signing up again

Irks me that there is no liaison between VA and any SA fuel outlets apart from going down the VFF & FB route, which is the long winded way.
And not an earn rate of 1 for 1 under the FB system either.
Will be passing MEL in Jul and Dec so will grab some from the Vic 7 eleven stores then.

Is there a purchase limit? If you bought 155 sausage rolls for $155, you'd have enough Velocity points for a business reward seat on any route up to 600 miles!
I think it's just 100 points per sausage roll transaction and max 2 srolls, so buy 1 or 2 doesn't effect total 100 points. find out tomoz when points drop.

155 sausage rolls, oh boy, gonna need a bigger bag.

Adelaide has a strong Independent Outlets, so I think that competition gives you cheaper petrol than eastern cities. Better than VA points.

Not to mention the pending merger between Viva (Shell Coles Express) with Shahin's OTR, which would see the Coles Express name phased out and replaced with OTR. I guess you may be able to redeem the Coles dockets at the existing BP/OTR (to be rebranded Shell OTR) if the ACCC gives the all clear.
