No, I don't think so - but I can't find anything that describes it (like you did) in the T&C's.
I only qualified for Plat (first time) in mid-Jan @1k SC's. I have done 650 SC's since then (some some have understandably dropped off). I would have thought that an additional 500 SC's (rolling) might get me there - but frustrated that I can't be certain.
MEL trip will get me 120 SC's and SYD 20. So this gets me close. A trip (to be planned) to PER in July would push me over, so long as no SC's drop off. Maybe I give VA one way and QF the other....decisions, decisions

Partner Gold and Partner Platinum are not determined by the running balance, "Status Credit Balance", but are determined by the "Status credits earned since dd Mmm yyyy". Once you reach 800 (to re-qualify Platinum), then you need to earn an additional 500 SCs to reach Partner Gold, and then another 500 (1000 above Platinum re-qual) to reach Partner Platinum.
With Velocity, the rolling balance is really only relevant while you are trying to initially qualify for a certain level. Once you reach that level, it becomes a chase to re-qualify in the 12 month period (with a new start date being the date you qualified for that level).
