Vinomofo Wine Deals

Dodgy quality all round.

If you trust the Fo punters then most have a poor reception of Mitolo anything.
There are many other offerings to guarantee a beauty.

Just like you did.
Thanks. Will take it on board.

Just had this freshly delivered and what a beauty. Just goes to show you can have a nice bottle at around $10 with a matching burger mid week.

You take your photography seriously with those shots, nice bokeh.

Redman, an icon, I have a 6 litre 2003 cab here which my wife won decades ago. Good photo op, but we haven't opened it.

Thanks for the heads up, but why? I had a previous GAM 2019 and quite liked it. But 2017 Savitar I didn't like
I have a bit of Mitolo in my cellar, from good vintages, mostly GAM.
Savitar is always a more tannic, structured wine than the more fruit-driven GAM and in ordinary vintages, like 2017, can be very hard and not easy to like and maybe never will be. I bought the 2020 Savitar and decided to keep it as I think it will be good in about 5 years as those fierce tannins drop out a bit. A 6-pack of GAM 2021 on the way to me, confident it will be a keeper.

I also bought heaps of Mitolo Ridgehaven Shiraz 2019 on Grays at under $10pb and my quaffer pack people enjoyed it a lot.

Don't do it. Someone I know just gave me a bottle and I know he never gives away anything good!

I think the code has $100 min spend requirement. As a sidenote I didn't mind that Gin when mixed with Aranciata Rossa

Just received a SMS with Vinomofo offering HUGE (their words, not mine) $18 off using SUNDAY code. Expires at midnight
Thanks for that! Just bought Lone Star, Yarra sauv blanc using SUNDAY. I'm not big on sauv blanc, but some of the Xmas guests are. Unrelated but following up a recent discussion of GWD & Colonial Estate. Anyone who bought Exile or Emigré back in the day would recognise the bottle & labelling style : Malthus & co really were aiming to reproduce their Sant Emilion successes in the Barossa. I'm unsure why it failed, maybe the persistent snobbery in UK and US markets, which look down their noses at the idea that premium $$$ wines can come out of this colonial outpost (except a grudging knowledge of Grange & Hill of Grace).

I bet this one may be a good buy with the code? Honestly I haven't tried this one before.

I had my second one last night. It punches way above its price point

My memory of their sales attempt in Australia was that they were considered over-priced for a start up winery with no local pedigree and the marketing didn't work for local sales. I suspect you are correct re export sales.
This one is actually a good wine and a lucky clearance buy from GWD in March this year.
Colonial Estate Emigre Shiraz 2021 750ml × 1

My favourites were the ‘15’s and 16’s way back when they first closed down.

Yes, they were great wines at the clearance prices.
I have occasionally bought self-mixed packs of Colonial, Viking etc wines to see how the quality is and have only rarely been impressed, but the Emigre 2021 would be a decent buy at around $30.
