Re: Yet another Velocity Amex 110,000 point offer!

There is a maximum that a person can receive as bonus points for their link (I think it's 200K?), but not an actual limit on using the link, they just wont receive any more points.

How many people can apply using the same referal link?

I think smit0247 must be close!

Re: AMEX Velocity - 110,000 bonus points (confirmed for an existing card holder)

Theyre not transferable

Re: Yet another Velocity Amex 110,000 point offer!

Yes I agree there should be a format for referral threads. Ideally discussion of referral offers could take place separately from the referral links themselves, so that people could see the various referrers all in one thread, and read a discussion of any particular offer in a different thread (just my opinion).

Re: Velocity Amex -110,000 POINTS, return free flight,4 lounge passes, travel insuran

There's another one for ya.

Re: AMEX Velocity - 110,000 bonus points (confirmed for an existing card holder)

Thanks very much for that; I am VA gold so have lounge access already; my partner who travels about 4 times a year obviously doesn't so they'd be handy for her, but we wouldn't be travelling together. Many thanks.

Smit is correct - they're not tranfserable. I had a look at the T&Cs and found this:

"Complimentary single entry Virgin Australia lounge passes are not transferable, but may be used to enable other people (who are travelling with you) to gain access to the lounge."

Re: Yet another Velocity Amex 110,000 point offer!

Yes, I think there needs to be a format for referrals. The recipient of the referral benefits, but, the referrer has a self interest as well.

No one wants to jump on someone else's thread though, less they be deemed cutting their grass. If posting your own referral on a thread that someone else started with their own is deemed ok, then fine.

Can we get an approved format from the mods then?

The sticky thread at the topf of this forum notes the following:
Place your offer in an appropriate thread (eg. Amex cards). If there is no thread for your offer, create a new thread.
This suggests that of a thread already exists, then add your referral to that thread. If one does not exist, then start a new thread.

Re: Yet another Velocity Amex 110,000 point offer!

Note that I have merged several threads about the same referral into a single thread. Per the posting guidelines for this forum, as noted in the forum sticky post linked in my previous post, please post referrals in an appropriate thread if one exists. If one does not already exist, then start a new thread.

Re: AMEX Velocity - 110,000 bonus points (confirmed for an existing card holder)

I have tried but have been unable to have lounge passes transferred. They suggested that if I had more than 2 guests to use them! As a result they expired:(

Re: Yet another Velocity Amex 110,000 point offer!

When does the referrer receive points? I used your link, but haven't spent the required $1,000 yet. Where are those damn bills when you need them - wait, what?
I suspect we may get the points the same time as you.
