wow. I'd better get hubby to apply. He has Amex platinum edge so I assumed he wouldn't get the 110, 000 points. Did you speak to Amex prior or just take the risk?

Can anybody confirm whether the lounge passes can be used by a spouse/are transferable in any way?
Thanks
Sam

Re: Yet another Velocity Amex 110,000 point offer!

Why are you linking this back to someone else's referral?

Yes I wonder why they've done that?

I applied with smit's referral initially and thank him very much for it. Share the love?

I think the link back should be removed. Mods?

In my opinion there isn't a need to start a new thread for each referral of the same good or service. It's essentially starting a new thread where the only point of difference is the referrer. This can easily be done in the existing thread with 'Here's my referral to this offer'. Again in my view there are far, far too many threads on AFF on the same topic and that makes searching and researching ridiculously difficulty.

Yes, I think there needs to be a format for referrals. The recipient of the referral benefits, but, the referrer has a self interest as well.

No one wants to jump on someone else's thread though, less they be deemed cutting their grass. If posting your own referral on a thread that someone else started with their own is deemed ok, then fine.

Can we get an approved format from the mods then?

Re: Yet another Velocity Amex 110,000 point offer!

When I get round to applying for this card, I will only use the link of the person who is willing to share 1/2 their referral bonus witb me..ie TF 10K velocity pts to my account; ) Feel free to PM me your link:)...that's the reality of supply and demand:)

Amex Velocity 110,000 points offer -yes another one!

Hi
I just got this card through a referral on this page, so thought one of you might want to do the same to get the bonus points . Here's my link https://www316.americanexpress.com/...erInfoPage_continueButton_c0f8f15eb&evttype=0
Some highlights of this card:
- 110,000 velocity points upon spending $1000 within the first 3 months

- A free return domestic flight with Virgin each year - list of routes here:

- 2 free passes to a domestic Virgin lounge per year
- 3 points per $ at a range of restaurants and with Virgin Australia
- 2 points per $ for airlines, accommodation, cruise and tour operators
- 0.99% pa balance transfer for 6 months
- Supplementary cards for no additional cost
- Discounted international companion business class fares on Virgin / Etihad / Delta
- travel insurance / purchase protection etc

The annual fee is $349, which for the 110,000 points and the free flight each year, is a steal

I get 20,000 bonus points for each referral .

Thanks so much

I suppose we are all points greedy ? Im sure you would like some too?

Re: Yet another Velocity Amex 110,000 point offer!

kpc I can do it for you and transfer the 20K points back to you if you show me how out of my Velocity account.
I put this deal out to our staff and I would like them all to get 130k seeing I don't need more Velocity points.
I have that Velocity Amex card.

Hi Heg,

I didn't call Amex, I decided to take the risk and it paid off :)

110k is better than nothing. Really you are getting the better of this deal!

Re: AMEX Velocity - 110,000 bonus points (confirmed for an existing card holder)

Can anybody confirm whether the lounge passes can be used by a spouse/are transferable in any way?
Thanks
Sam

Hi Sam,

Good question. I'm not sure exactly, the lounge passes showed up in my velocity account so you'd definitely be able to bring someone in with you. I think I've read that they are transferable, but I'll try and look into it to find out for sure.

Thanks very much for that; I am VA gold so have lounge access already; my partner who travels about 4 times a year obviously doesn't so they'd be handy for her, but we wouldn't be travelling together. Many thanks.
