Virgin Australia Business Class - Meals, Menus & Service

Been on ROb's
Lunch service. Choices were goat cheese quiche or pumpkin and beetroot salad. The salad wasn’t great. CSM was Rob ( no introduction I read his name badge) was not engaged, just going through the motions.

Been on a couple of Rob's flights.

Major can't be bothered (apologies if I'm not allowed to say that)
Goes through the motions, no real interest or engagement.

I notice the cheese is a packet from the per pay menu - not even individual served wedges now?

It surprised me as well, but as I mentioned the CSM was doing the minimum, so probably couldn't be bothered removing them from the packaging. I noted that in Astro's photo the cheese was also in the packaging, so perhaps it's a new thing...

Looks like the cheese and biscuits are the new normal. It's been a few months between flights for me, I suspect the accountants have put a ruler over the food.

Flew ADL-BNE on Monday, was expecting a snack but lunch was offered (though it was a snack), either bolognese arancini balls or A hummus plate.

Went with the arancini and they were delicious, as was the soft Camembert that came with it. Paired with a sauv blanc.

Business was 8/8 and everyone had the arancini. When I asked for the hummus later I was told there wasn’t any available... but I was given some olives and cheese & crackers (in the packet). Overall, a good meal.96442E9C-A49D-4C34-BF1E-6AE3C882834B.jpeg

Monday morning BNE-HBA almost full flight, went for the Bircher muesli again with blueberries this time. Not the same wow factor as the last Bircher I had on Saturday but quite nice anyway.7B118987-144B-4F25-BFA5-C669FFCDCAF3.jpeg

This thread hasn’t had much action lately...

This was my VA J meal yesterday on BNE-ROK, 8.45am departure:

No other options, everyone just got the same snack box.

I’d just had corn flakes for breakfast in the lounge (there were not a lot of food options there either) so just what I felt like was... more corn flakes.
