Westfield XS card

ATM's: 99.99% chance it would fail, it would only be able to be used for bills and purchases.
CC bill / Self Service: If I can pay $30.00 off a water bill, I would also be able to use "savings" to pay a credit card bill.

So, in summary, can you please confirm if you can pay CC bills with a barcode via the self-service machines with an XS card at the post office?

Can you also withdraw cash from an ATM with the XS card, or transfer money to another account, or can it only be used for purchases?!

You can pay you credit card bill using the self server machine by scanning the bar code. Woul work for other bills as well. Withdrawal from ATM's is not possible but you can use the gift card to load the Australia Post Load and Go Travel Card and then withdraw the money from the ATM via the Travel Card.

Well that was a short-lived dream.

Just took my Virgin Amex and Virgin Flyer Visa statements to the post office. Neither is accepted in the self-serve kiosk......

Virgin Doesn't offer POSTBillPay....

Can STILL PAY IT THOUGH, but at the checkout using the "bank deposit slip" option while still using the XS Card.

Which store did you goto? I was @ Glen Waverley today.

Payments

Q.
How do you calculate my minimum monthly repayment?

Q.
How do I make my repayments?
A.
Direct Debit Auto Pay

Take the hassle out of making your repayments by setting up a Direct Debit. With Direct Debit Auto Pay your repayments will be automatically deducted each month from the bank account of your choice so you'll never have to worry about them.
To set this up:
To set this up log in to Virgin Money Online, head to ‘My Accounts’ then ‘Manage my Account’ and ‘Manage my Payment Options’. Click on the link to download the ‘Direct Debit Auto Pay application form’ and fax it back to us on 1300 634 315 or pop it in the post to:
Virgin Money
Reply Paid PO Box 40
Sydney NSW 2001
It's important to know that if you make any manual payments between due dates, then the Direct Debit will only draw the difference between the amount of the manual payments and the Direct Debit amount.
Via BPAY®

If you're registered for internet and/or phone banking with the financial institution that holds the account you want to pay from, you can use BPAY® to make your repayments. Just follow the prompts and enter our Biller Code 49551 followed by your 16-digit Virgin Money Card number as your Customer Reference number.
By posting us a Cheque

You can post us your payment by enclosing your completed Payment Slip provided with your monthly statement and mail with your cheque (no notes or coins please) to the following address:

Virgin Money,
GPO Box 20022
MELBOURNE
VIC 3001

Please make your cheques payable to your Virgin Money Account number and specify your account type eg. Virgin Flyer Credit Card - Account number. So we can process it as quickly as possible for you it would be good if you write the actual Account number on the back of your cheque. Cheques payable to the Account holder may also be accepted (e.g. dividend cheque, Medicare refund, etc) but cheques payable to a third party will not be accepted. Again, a friendly reminder to please write your account number on the back of all cheques.

At Australia Post

You can make your payments at any Australia Post office displaying the Bank@Post™ symbol using cash or EFTPOS and they'll be processed immediately. It's important to remember to take your Credit Card with you and you must complete a Deposit Slip at the Australia Post outlet for a faster transaction. When paying by cheque at any Australia Post office, please allow 7 business days for the cheque to clear. However, funds will be considered received the day the cheque is deposited.

Is that text large enough?

Yeah but for this to work properly you need to be buying up big on the XS cards and using multiples to pay at the post office. I cant imagine they would be happy if you pulled out 6 different XS cards to pay your CC bill 'they're not really for banking......'

LOL I currently have 4 in my wallet. Still experimenting. Paid a water bill and a cc bill today.

That said you are absolutely correct :)

It may be that the hassle isn't worth it for large, however defined, transactions. Nevertheless I am enjoying exploring the possibilities that card opens up. I can see situations where it could be just the thing.

**edit** just found out you can reload with funds (up to max of $999 at a time and not more than $5k in 30 days) via postbillpay on the internet, using Visa and MAstercard only

Is this classified as a cash advance or a purchase though?

Can we have a list of what Bills currently can be PAID via XS at Self service kiosk?
Gas
Electricity
Telstra Telephone
Water
Rates
Anything connected to Wollies purchases....Food, petrol, Liquor?
Credit card bill with barcode

It's going to cost min $4.95= $995 unless Corp account spending over $20K to exclude fees?
So $4.95 for 995 QFF points right?

tee hee 1.5ppd on my Amex Qantas Ultimate. Plus you pay the fee with cc too for a couple of extra points :)
I would imagine that the bank high end Amex cards will also pay 1.5ppd. I bought some XS cards with my 3 red sausage bank high flying card today (admittedly cannot be directed to QFF). I'll let you know when and if the points post.

Also add ATO to the list (at least at the counter)

WW stuff...not sure about that although I reckon Mrs Newk's WW EDR QFF card statements comes with bar codes. I am eagerly awaiting the next bill. Otherwise the XS card works at WW check outs including the self serve ones. For purchases only as far as we know

I think the transfer to other account option needs further exploration

I used one of my old citi bank credit card statement with a bar code and the payment was duly credited. I used one of the automated machine

How did you do it? Take statement to post office and said scan this and paid via the card? the guy said to me I have to fill in the Bank@post form and swipe xs card to take out money and then pay the card. Did you swipe your citi card at all?

Will give it a try and post back

Thanks - I would be extremely interested to know if you can transfer the amount on your XS card to another bank account (ie a savings account) at Australia Post.

Does the XS card have a pin number?

yes, but it's on the back under a rub off cover. A little insecure really

yes I understand. And there may be offers that make it even more interesting

and would you like points with that?

edit to be a bit more "quiet"
