So from the top those are from Nata Sweet Nata.
Middle from The world needs Nata.
Bottom from Fabrica da Nata.
Results later.
Earlier today we had 2 from here.

They were good.
All cost 1.20 euros. Paid cash and no money handled. Put notes in one machine and coin in another and both will give you your change.

Whereas lunch for me (and my seat mate) today at Customs House:

Entrees were stunning and 😳 the size of the steak was massive. Most females were swapping to the Salmon. Sadly none at my table. But on the positive note, I stayed awake on the bus ride back to work

I assume this was in the old Customs House at Circular Quay? In the mid 1980's I spent a few days working out of there when I was stationed in Canberra for 2 years. The interior was getting pretty worn out and too small by then and we moved office in the late 1980's. The location was of course magnificent. On the top floor there was an open air terrace that looked out towards Circular Quay. I have to admit we sneaked up there a few times just to soak it all in. To top it off we stayed at the (cheap) Steyne Hotel hotel in Manly so we got the full experience of catching the Manly ferry to work.

No, Customs House in Brisbane - by the River and near the Storey Bridge

Well I did spend a couple of days there in the 1980's. It was a lovely old building and also in a great location. The next time I visited there they had moved into another soulless modern building.

Played golf yesterday with a Pattaya Golf Sports bar I have not been with before. As it turns out they had an appreciation dinner for the golfers that supported during covid and beyond. All members invited.

What type of soup is it? Soup!!!!

The pleasure of eating out knows no bounds - as I continue to indulge in restaurants and takeaway, albeit, having boxes of home cooked meals in the freezer :)

Lunch at the Asian Noodle House, Campbell. Returned to this place after a good few months. Friendly faces, staff immediately recognised me - was offered my usual table and asked if I wanted my *usual*.

Was good to show off to my colleague who joined me for lunch. She was, well and truly, taken aback by the recognition, prompt service and how almost every staff at the restaurant stopped at our table and had a few words.

Vegan Pad Thai. No fresh chilli available, so was given the options of chilli oil, chilli powder, chilli in vinegar and sugar (to balance out).

Vegan fried rice - generously sprinkled with the chilli powder #LipSmacking

As I finished garnishing the fried rice with chilli powder, it was pointed out to me, by my colleague, that I may have gone overboard with the chilli powder and warned of the after effects. But to me, it was perfect :)

Today was a lunch presentation in the private room at Madam Wu on Eagle Street, Brisbane CBD.

Got most of the dishes as soon as they landed on the Lazy Susan. Delightful at the right price (somebody else paying)

Hmm I am a bit envious of all this big business largesse.. time to drop albo a note about the earning capacity of an fbt…..

If Chinese restaurants are good if Chinese people eat there, this place had a significant Arabic clientele when we visited.
Easy street parking outside as the parking restrictions ended after 6 pm.

Can recommend but the Banquet menu had too much food.
