What are QF93 F loadings normally like - this flt within next week:

4 pax normal?

So if ea pax drinks 3 to 4botts champers as I normally do hopefully won't need to posting any more of that rubbish about QF skungeing on the champers! :D

That seems to be the normal loading a week or a few days out. But the actual F cabin will be filled by takeoff with upgrades in our experiences.

Also not everybody selects seats prior to travel, I am still baffled that some of my WP colleagues do not select seats in J on an A380 and end up in row 20

I have now also travelled in 5K and must say I really liked it, very private and didn't notice any noise from the galley.

As a WP & WP 1 I have always been pre allocated 11 A thru to 13A when booking. Seems strange they are not pre allocated.

You don't wanna be in 5K, Bru, since everyone in F knows you are a freebie upgrade. :)

1K and 1A have been the seats I have been allocated when receiving an op-up. (I had 2 or 3 F once too.) I have 5K selected for my next trip, it will be interesting to see how good that is. (I'm usually a 2K or 3K chap.)

Kefci2000 I know of one points upgrade in the system for QF9 on Thursday. (To DXB anyway.)

Strange, the system auto allocated us 4 seats in row 11....the kids are looking forward to 11AK on QF11. Maybe they haven't bothered to update their preference page?

Have been somewhat optimistic and submitted 4 upgrades in the system - be pretty cool to take 4 seats on the A or K side.

So see you in the lounge??

i really ummed and arrrhed about submitting a points up grade request (having done so SYD-LAX in May), but am trying to save points to take the good lady with me next time.

Not me, I'm going to SYD!!

Re: F seating on Qantas A380

Hi AFF'ers.

Got the magic upgrade from J to F SYD-LHR on the A380, pretty excited - I've picked A3 based on the recommendations in this thread.

The A side is nice and quiet as 4 less passengers to stroll past.
But there's no bad seat in F, seriously.
I sat in 5K last week and slept like a baby :D

Re: F seating on Qantas A380

I ended up in 2A on the way to MEL-LHR and 1A on the return. I now appreciate the sentiment "there are no bad seats in F".

2A was great and when I was in 1A, I didn't notice any interruptions from the locker or drawer where the bedding is stored. Being on the A side, I noticed I wouldn't like to be in the middle, as the people from the A side look straight into you when walking up and down the aisle. One issue friends of mine had while on the K side was the reflection from the TV of someone in the middle seat across from the aisle disturbed their sleeping (though I'm not sure why they didn't use the eye-shades).

That seems genuinely odd given that the K seats angle towards the window when made in to a bed. Can't say I have ever experienced that before.

Though isn't your head near to the aisle on the K side when lying down? I didn't spend too much time down that aisle, so haven't seen the angles between the seats.

I think it was the general additional ambient light in the cabin which may have disturbed them. They don't fly much, were in 4K and 5K, and were perhaps were a bit sensitive to their surroundings. I generally don't notice these things myself either, and have a good set of my own eye-shades to combat these issues also.

+1, trying to find some pictures of SWMBO in the F seats as I can not remember seeing any reflections when in 2K or 5K, I also sleep quite far back in the seat, maybe that helps...
