When you use this this credit card at the checkout you will get the whole 120 points.

It is the Everyday Rewards shopping card that they ask for first that you get 90 points on a $120 spend (this one gets your fuel voucher etc).

So if you spent $120 on groceries at Woolworths and paid with your Everyday Rewards credit card, you would get 90 points on your Everyday Rewards shopping card and then 120 points on your credit card. So a total gain of 210 points.

When I look at my check out paper receipts there is no mention of points at all when payng on this cc. Do others see any mention of points on the receipt?

Yes. Sounds like you're not scanning the barcode on the back of the credit card on the register (as though it's a product) to pick up the extra points.

Bu**er, when I mention it to the cashier they say 'yes' they know, but then, none of my paper receipts show it. Seems like there's a problem somewhere here. I dread having to ring up the HSBC WQEDRCC phone yet again.

Just looking for a bit of clarification here. When I spend $120 with this card at Woolworths I receive 90 points (first $30 don't count). However, if I were to use my American Express card (see link below) for the same amount, I'd receive 120 points? Am I reading this wrong, or should I just be using the Amex all the time?

Affinity

Yes and no. You are correct with the Woolworths spend and calculation - this is for scanning your everyday rewards number on the back of the card or from your everyday rewards card at the checkout, however you would also receive 120 points for using the EDR MasterCard itself as you would using it anywhere. So at Woolworths your total points in your example would be 210.

I wouldn't call them. I'd call Everyday Rewards (not the credit card team)

Check your everyday rewards SC punt too. If it's working, you should see points there.

Ok thanks. Just looked up the EDR card account and I see some points. I did notice that my Mothers' Day double points didn't take. The base points are there, but not the double pts.

Did you read the T&Cs? The bonus normally are allocated 7 days from the *last* day of the promo. Given tomorrow is mother's day, I suspect tomorrow may be the end of the promo, so you'll see the points in 8 days.

You're better off to scan you edr barcode to get 1 point per $1 then pay with you dj Amex and get 2.25 extra points per $1. 3.25 points per $1 in total.

Yes, but

3.25 DJ points = 2.43 QFF so effectively 1.43 points extra per $1

So a better yield yes, but not 2.25 points extra per $1 as stated ;)

I applied for this card 2 weeks ago, and waited patiently for a phone call but did not get one. A week later the card arrived in the post:confused:....so no ID check, income verification etc. I wonder if being a HSBC account holder made any difference, but I did not mention that on the application.
hmm, only got 16K points credited...after a bit of phone tag, got hold of a local operator who promised to credit the 4K shortfall within 48 hours! a bit annoying....

Haha good luck

Same thing with me. Applied in April with the 20k link, only got credited with 16k. :(

Got a phone call yesterday saying the 4K shortfall is being credited to my account. I'm not familiar with this card having just joined....should I be seeing the 4K points now (I'm not) in my points summary or would this only appear at the end of my next statement period?
Thanks
