straitman, if you are having issues with HPC (not knowing who you are talking to), may I suggest you check your emails for the HPC contact details of Don Thaker (HPC Manager, Qld) who would be only too pleased to help you fix the issues.

Yada Yada,

I've worked it out. I tried to send you a PM but your mailbox is full.
Ah... OK, sorry about that! Feel free to keep using email if you wish. The 10-message limit in the PM system is a bit restrictive, IMO. I can't be bothered with the constant requirement to manage it!

Admin - how about increasing the mailbox message limit? Ten is just too small!

So now we are back to 10 people only? Who are the original 10 and do they already know who they are?

Easy fixed. Just purchase AFF Gold or Silver or membership. Or better still hope that your prediction wins the AFF 100,000th post thread....

Lindsay Wilson,

I'll follow up as soon as I'm able tomorrow or Friday at the latest.

I still need responses from:
blankman, ANDREW, drron, futaris & BizziBB

I have discussed membership numbers with HPC today and this is it otherwise I give up :!:

They will not budge on the 10 maximum per membership. That being said we can run two groups and still average the cost.
This works out to be between $197 - $211 plus $4.30 postage dependant upon final numbers and membership will run to end of April 2010. I don't know at this time whether I can run past tomorrow to get the Aprril end date. Even if I can do this it will only be until early next week.

I still need to hear from
blankman, ANDREW, futaris & BizziBB to get the final price. Other wise we'll have to go without them which will give the $211 price.

I pay AFF with my time by posting, which I think is more than enough.

Bill - if it's a problem having more than 10 then I being a latecomer, I am happy to drop out if need be. I don't want others to have to pay more.

Thanks for that - didn't realise mailbox was full.
I've replied to Bill by PM, e-mail.

Firstly let me say that I think you are doing a great job.

I was quite happy paying $180 + postage to be in HPC. Now we are talking about $211 + postage. Whilst $31 is not a deal breaker it is a significant amount. Personally I would stick to 10 people, get it over and done with, and some will just have to be disappointed. Late comers and non respondents can try to organise another group of 10. Most of them have had ample opportunity to confirm and have not even bothered to post in this thread....

I'll join the list of people thanking you, straitman, and also add my name to the list of those who are happy to drop off the original list if need be. (I'm more than happy to still pay and join the main group, though.)

You can contact futaris via FT:

I have sent a Pm to BizziBB via FT for him to contact you.
Thanks for your efforts Bill!
I have emailed futaris, I have PM'd him and he has been online here and on FT in the last few days so so unless he makes contact there is nothing else to do except drop him from the group.

As I have a current membership that does not expire until end of April, I'm happy to wait a month or two for a second group to build up to 10.

This keeps the cost for the inaugural 10 down at $190; it's only fair IMHO.

This means that the second group may pay as little as that as well, if not it won't be much more -probably not as much as $210.

If you need more of up to hold back for a second group, I will also take a step back.

I'm in no rush but happy to be part of a straggler group, if and when required.

Straitman and everyone else who has made this possible - thank you.

A few toooooo many people are now being polite. I'll send out emails in the morning when I have some more info that I'm waiting on. There is still a little conflicting info out there.

If people who miss out this time around wait a little while I'm sure we will have another ten. With those who have not responded in the last few days and a couple of extras we potentially already have a second group of 5 - 8 people.

Sorry for not replying to this thread / straitman earlier. I am currently in the USA, so getting the WAF isn't easy...

I have committed ten people to HPC membership and have sent them all details of how to pay. I made the selection based upon the order of how people showed their interest, those that offered to wait, those that I wasn’t able to contact recently, any current memberships that have not expired and how the stars lined up yesterday afternoon. For ten people the cost was $A190 plus $A4.30 postage.

3.Blankman
4.JohnK
5.kpc
6.drron
7.Nagelixin
8.Skoogle
9.One9
10.BiziBB

There are still seven people on the list and if all of them go ahead, and no others show interest the cost would be $A211.44 plus $A4.30 for postage. These are all for a two year membership and a significant saving over the individual rate of $A450 pp.

12.Ozstamps
13.Danger
14.kangagirl
15.Yada Yada
16.ANDREW
17.Neil Armistead

I’ll contact everyone individually and work this through with them.

thanks straitman! I know how frustrating organising something like this can be.
