Try again with a smaller amount.
Never ever call your Credit card company about ATO payments.
You could try the 1300 phone line to talk to my girlfriend at the ATO and then keep e record of the 2 receipt numbers. She is a bit of a robot.
that number is 1300 898 089

it took 4 months to get a limit increase from Citi and it was an epic struggle.

Cove, How rigorous is Citi's limit increase process at $100k in terms of documentation and hoops (outside of their legendary service) you need to jump through?

All my increases with Citi so far have been unsolicited. Last one was for $10k a year ago and had no more. Guessing nowadays with "responsible credit" they stop making unsolicited offers at a certain point.

Citi often can give you bum steers when you call them so I really try hard not to call them other than to transfer points.
Agreed. I've received well over 100K CitiRewards points to-date in compensation alone!

I supplied proof of income and Citi seemed to pigeon hole it from September 2014. I really don't like calling Citi.
I can be a bit tenacious but yes I felt I was in a pole vault contest at the Olympics.
We do have 3 other cards with that limit with other companies and I always pay them to zero. I use autopay on Cti and Woolies.

Did ANZ up their rate I thought it was 3 ANZ reward points for 1 FF point or are you guys referring to QFF/Velocity?

Good news: NAB Qantas Platinum Card points (including ATO payment of approx $17k) posted to QFF today at 1.5 pts per dollar.
Bad news: Another one (is about to) bite(s) the dust!...

Checked online statement which confirms...No points for ATO payments after 1 May.

Shame NAB shame. Guess we shall have to move on to HSBC Plat then.

What exactly did it say?
"Rewards Term and Conditions which will be effective from 1 May 2015...

The description of net purchases will exclude when you make a payment to the Australian Taxation Office. This means you won't earn any Qantas Points on this transaction."

bankwest point earn is only 0.75 per dollar now - down from 1 when I last looked. 50k bankwest promotion might make up for it though. HSCB still 1:1 so another option to replace EDRCC.

I am a recent recruit to the BW card and 50K points sign on. I cheekily did an on line chat a couple of days after approval re getting the World card due to the 1:1. They advised that I can have it, but maybe best to wait till the bonus comes through.

I'll see how I go and report back in a couple of months.

This card is not for online application for new customers. Look out for your invitation to upgrade if you are an existing Bankwest Qantas Platinum card holder.

Just had my final 150k ATO points drop on my NAB Platinum.
I now need a new non-Qantas card. Is BOQ an option?

Sorry all, just to clarify:
HSBC QF Plat appears good for ATO spend so far @1:1?
