Double Status Credits are back

I have 4 days between attaining WP and a Y trip to LHR (upgrade to J requested). This will hopefully improve my odds

Did we work out if in ths scenario (change of status) you are still in the system as a Gold for UG or are you better cancelling the UG and re-requesting as WP?

Of course, in sydbloke's case, it'll be too late so you're probably stuck either way, but for future instances (let's say Gold @ T-90 but change to WP @ T-45 say) do we know??

That's worth a call to QFF to ascertain whether their system recognise the upgraded status or whether it is retained as a Gold (so still behind CL and Plat in the waitlist). Wouldn't wan tto cancel if you were high on the Gold list, but behind other Plats on their waitlist - in which case, lesser chance of getting waitlist through anyway, I would suspect.

I haven't requested the upgrade due to the ticket not being reissued (long wait due to current LHR/EU issues).

Perhaps I should request it 3 days out as a WP?

Well, right at the end of the 48 (working hours) QF have posted my bonus SC's from my flights on 22nd (but still excellent timing compared to T&C's 6 weeks):

Same thing here for bonus credits that appeared just today after flights last Wednesday / Thursday.

I suspect it's a glitch in the system at the current time that will probably be fixed within a day or so.

I don't see the additional bonus SCs lasting :-(

Looks like all examples of double posting show a post on one day then another on the next.

I would say there's a routine running behind the scenes that isn't marking the bonus SCs as posted the first time around and then posting them a second time.

Interesting to see how quickly QFIT fix things.

Hi,
I am WP and I also received an offer for double status credits until the end of June. I have already requalified fro Wp, currently have 1795 SC but they were gearign towards me getting partner gold in the letter. Either way I am about to do a MEL-SYD-SIN-BOM-SIN-CKG-SIN-SYD-MEl with possibility of BKK in there. I calculated as I am doing all flights in J with Jetstar Asia JetFlex between SIN-CKG I will earn 1070 SC in one round trip, my biggest earn ever in a single return trip. I then have another MEL-BOM-MEL in beg June and a MEL-BKK return in late June, by my estimate I will then earn 4500 SC this year, my best ever by 1500 SC and I will achieve LTG this year, which is about 1 year earlier than expected, so thanks to QF for the double SC run.

Yes and what is even more amazing is that from nov to feb I did no travel at all as I was at home tending to my new set of triplets. My goal was to achieve LTG by Dec 2011 but it appears it will occur now by end of June 10. Maybe they will introduce a LTP (life time platinum) now that would be good to aim for, maybe set it to 21000 SC or even 28000 SC but I guess making people earn WP means the numbers remain steady.

My next flights are Tuesday BNE/MEL/ADL/BNE, so with Super Savers on the outbound and FlexiSaver on the inbound, I'll get 110 SC's. Gold will be a shoe in this year. Thanks QF ^
