Qantas apologises to frequent flyers with status extensions, lounge passes, points & more reward seats

WP, LTG, PC with 31 July year -> 30K pts (same for SYD+1).

As well as the $50 credit - which *everyone* gets (even non-QFF who sign up for free before the Sept cutoff).

Anyone else having trouble logging in to the QF app / website?

Mine doesn't work either. Just getting a greyed-out box where the button I need is (gee, that sure seems familiar):

NOTE: For Platinum/Platinum One, you must click on the link in the e-mail to accept the 15,000/30,000 points.

The points are not automatic and it's not immediately obvious that you need to do this just skimming the e-mail.
Correct - though I'll be waiting until we're into Sep to do that, as that's my new membership year for QFF and PC, and hoping it means a 30K headstart into Points Club for 2022-23. That's about all I'll get out of these unexpected benefits. The $50 voucher will likely go unused as I rarely fly solo on anything but on company business (booked via agency) or on points (can't be used on taxes).

Cheers,
Matt.

It was suggested up thread that these gratis points don’t count to PC but I’ll report back (if someone else doesn’t). Fired off the claim through the link. Even though the website login is down it still said I’d claimed my points.

Thank you for mentioning this. I might have missed that. I have just done that. I am getting 30k points which is nice. When I'll be able to use it for J/F to LHR (classic reward seat or upgrade) is another question.

I levelled back up to WP and got LTS this membership year.

Let us know how you go - there was also this comment, which gives good hope!

Almost certainly yes. Compensation points from Customer Care count.

2 x WP adults. 1 got 15k and other got 30k QF Points emails. Go figure.

For ref: 15k mem yr expires June. 30k mem yr expires Dec.

Both pax are Points Club as well.

Reading posts up thread it would seem like for WP and P1 that if you have a roll over date up to Jul 23 you get the status extension and 15K points. Those with roll over dates of Jul-Dec do not get the status extension and 30k points.

Same here, both WP / Points Club Plus. One eligible for extension got 15k, one ineligible got 30k.

I'm WP and I just got an email offering me... two business lounge invitations. Probably because I made WP last Friday, and the top of the email still thinks I'm gold.

Given my renewal date is October 2023, I should've gotten 30,000 points.

(Not!) looking forward to contacting customer service to get this sorted out at some point... :(

Hopefully the email's just wrong and the backend will process the bonus correctly? Can't log in to check though.
