With this offer if booking a domestic business flight and then changing that flight date/time after the offer ends will the DSC’s still be applied? (Same booking)
Changes are ok, but if you go outside the travel window, you are unlikely to get anything

I was able to get PER-xSYD-xDRW-xBNE-MEL for 20K but it took some effort. I first booked just DRW-xBNE-MEL and called to add PER-xSYD-DRW. While that combination showed on AS, it fell over at the purchase stage. The AS agent blamed it on QF. I cancelled the whole booking and told the agent I'd be disputing the USD12.50 non-refundable partner charge because the AS website clearly says 'Free to cancel within 24 hours'.

Next, I booked PER-xSYD-DRW, then called to add DRW-xBNE-MEL and that worked fine. Taxes were about $90. I calculate an earning of 142x2, which I think is exceptional.

It's all gone pear-shaped.

Qantas has retimed DRW-BNE + six hours and there are no other options.

I'm in two minds. Do I accept a simple PER-xSYD-MEL and risk a knockback if I ask for original routing credit, or do I can the whole thing? Passing up almost a quarter of the SCs required for requal with an outlay of just 20K AS miles and USD90 is very hard to swallow.

(Oh and my bank refunded the $12.50 non-refundable partner charge.)

Not sure the risk is that high? Maybe need to HUACA a few times, but I've never been declined an ORC (and DSC on that ORC where applicable)

No, I agree it's not high. My concern is I think it's a little more complex that a usual schedule change because it's an award booking. It's maybe also complicated by being a partner redemption.

Flew Saturday MEL-BNE-AKL in J SC arrived same day and DSC arrived lunch time today.

Flew Syd-Ool-Mel-Akl on Sat...on Ool-Mel, next to me was a non AFFer doing the exact same run to Akl. On Mel-Akl was an AFFer (?lovestravelling) who was also doing Ool- Mel-Akl to try and regain Plat. I flew back next am Akl-Mel-Syd (didn't speak to anyone :) )...the bonus SCs for the outbound keg posted this evening, so just waiting for the inbound bonus SCs to post. :)
Edit: the remaining bonus SCs posted overnight :)

Domestic or international? My flight from SIN was also scheduled to depart on Sunday but it was already Monday by the time it finally took off after multiple delays...

Both Domestic and International

In this thread, I can see a number of people did not reeive the confimration email from registering for DSC (and talking to collegue).

Does anyone have a copy of the email/screenshot?

Snuck in a lil PER-ADL-BNE-CNS/CNS-MEL-PER before the deadline :)

No PER-MEL-BNE-CNS? :)

No avail on my dates, but will try to get some seats released and swap to this both ways when I hit WP through another few bookings in May :)
Had a schedule change so finally got around to calling up and swapping the return flight to CNS-BNE-CBR-PER. Seems like CBR have quite heavy pax surcharges compared to others - $125 for CNS-BNE-ADL-PER vs $171 for CNS-BNE-CBR-PER. Schedule for the latter was better though so locked it in.

So I booked MEL-xBNE-CNS // CNS-xBNE-MEL with QF points as PCP during this DSC so should get me 112SC each way inc DSC.

Got a schedule change and they've put me on direct CNS-MEL direct which means that will only earn me 76SC instead of the 112SC the original flights via BNE will.

How hard will it be to get ORC for the DSC for the indirect if i just accept this direct CNS-MEL flight?

How hard will it be to get ORC for the DSC for the indirect if i just accept this direct CNS-MEL flight?

Not that hard, just keep your claim clear and succinct:
  • On DD/MM/YY I registered for the Qantas Double Status Credits promotion - see registration email attached
  • On DD/MM/YY (within DSC promo booking window) I booked CNS-BNE-MEL as part of PNR XXYYZZ departing DD/MM/YY - see original eticket attached
  • On 26/08/23 my booking was involuntarily changed by Qantas to a direct CNS-MEL flight - ideally attach a copy of the change email, if you have one
  • I have since flown and received 38 status credits for this direct flight - see boarding pass attached
  • I wish to request an original routing credit of 28 status credits for CNS-BNE and 28 status credits for BNE-MEL for the flights as originally booked
  • I would also like to request an additional 28 + 28 status credits per the terms of the Double Status Credits promotion.
If you lodge this via email with all the docs, wait a week, and then call the FF team and quote the SR number, I would wager money the SC are posted on the spot.

I've done this several times and never had an issue - there's a lot of scaremongering on AFF around ORC/DSC situations, but 99% of agents can handle this if your message is clear and you provide every piece of documentation. If you happen to get a dud agent who wants to argue it, just HUACA.

Thanks! And will it still be considered involentary if i 'accept' the changes on the QF website like it's asking me to do?

Yes, if there's a schedule change which no longer meets MCT or a cancellation, it is involuntary.

I still have a couple of vouchers purchased during the booking period. Has anyone had success with redeeming these after the booking period? Also wondering if the bonus status credits will apply based on the travel date as anniversary coming up soon. Many thanks.
