Although the website Errors when going My Everyday Rewards - QFF

Note: It may take up to 21 days after points are earned for the points to appear on your Qantas Frequent Flyer account.

Also whilst a group can pool fuel vouchers, the QFF points cannot be pooled - ie you can only earn QFF points from your card.

Option to either add a QFF number or sign up for a new QFF account.

Sam wonder what my prob is ? Just tried again having read your post, same reply "technical ..."

Done. Must have been "Technical..." !

That site has so many glitches normally that it's no wonder. I guess the system might not be fully implemented yet, or there's clearly a lot of people that are doing this now.

I'll have to make a $31 purchase this week and see what it says can be credited. Unfortunately, I don't need to make any purchase at the moment.

Interesting reading the FAQ:

Can I earn points at BIG W?
No, at this stage Qantas Frequent Flyer points can only be earned at Woolworths and Safeway Supermarkets (excluding Tasmania). You will be able to earn points at other Woolworths Group Stores soon.

I wonder how long 'soon' will be :)

I managed to link my card to my FF account online.

But I had another problem. This whole situation prompted me to final link my card with SWMBOs card. The linking worked, but I can't log into SWMBOs account to add her FF number. Apparently, the username doesn't exist and they don't recognise her email address. So something to resolve.

But my point, I called to woolies and it seems they are doing a system upgrade today, (so can't bring up customer details) which, I guess, might also be affecting people trying to add their FF numbers.

If you click on the FAQ's, under Section 2, point 1 it says:

Soon you will be able to start earning Qantas Frequent Flyer points in Woolworths and Safeway Supermarkets with your Everyday Rewards card.
Please note in order to start earning Qantas Frequent Flyer points, you need to link your existing Qantas Frequent Flyer membership to your Everyday Rewards card.
If you’re not a Qantas Frequent Flyer member you can join through Everyday Rewards without paying the usual joining fee(save $82.50).

I have just registered 2 Everyday cards for the first time and linked them both to my QFF membership without any glitches - just lucky I guess.

I guess there's the potential to earn way more points at Big W, as items there are more expensive that your usual groceries. I've shopped there once in the past year though, so am not too fussed right now.

I'll sign my mum up in the next few days (she currently uses Cathay's Marco Polo Club) and link to her card. She's not often over, but when she is at least she can earn something.

Interestingly it doesn't say whether this waiving of the joining fee means they'll send out a membership card or not. With all the restaurants now coming on board, I'm sure they'd want to get cards out there.

Did you get them both linked to the same QFF account? We have already linked my Everyday Rewards card with my wife's for fuel offers etc but it won't let me put the same QFF number for both cards. Do you have the 2 cards you just registered in different names or does it let you have two Everyday cards in one name so you can then have them both linked to the same QFF account?

Sam, cards will be issued, as you are joining Qantas FF and all normal terms and conditions apply.

Surely this kind of thing wouldn't be allowed. You could end up with hundreds of people all paying for groceries, using their own fuel vouchers, but giving you FF points.

When you join from another country now, a membership pack isn't sent.

Well, I've just joined QFF for free through everyday rewards website. The process was simple enough, I just logged onto everyday rewards using those details and followed the links to join QFF. Now I ahave a member number and have signed into the QFF members site and all seems to be running smoothly.

I haven't seen any mention made of the points allocations for purchases yet? Have I just missed these or haven't they been announced. This could mean that points won't be earnt yet at woolworths?

Also, the QFF confirmation/welcome e-mail said that a card would be sent to members upon their first allocation of points. Shame if I intended to eat at one of the accepting restaurants before I make a woolies purchase

I believe that surely 2 cards at a maximum should be able to be linked to the one QFF account, for example Husband does lots of travel, wife looks after kids, both have potential to earn points for one account (sure there would be many scenarios)

Does anyone know if you can earn points at Woolworths now? (or will we have ot wait for the green light?)

Awesome. Going to sign my mum up soon.

Likewise, I can't see anything listed, so we'll have to wait and see I guess, or make a purchase that will give you a fuel voucher and see what is credited from that.

Confucius says: you must first learn to cook your own food before having someone cook for you. :p

I'm sure Qantas would prefer the wife have her own card and if she wants to transfer points to her husband when she has enough, that would be fine. The FAQ on the site addresses this anyway. Supposedly a QFF card can only be linked with one card.

Code:
[b]Can I link multiple Everyday Rewards cards
to a single Qantas Frequent Flyer account?[/b]
No, only one Qantas Frequent Flyer account can be
linked to one Everyday Rewards card. The name
on the Everyday Rewards card must match the
name of the Qantas Frequent Flyer membership.

Does anyone know if you can earn points at Woolworths now? (or will we have ot wait for the green light?)

I might make a purchase in the next few days, I'll report back here on what it tells me after the purchase.

Frequent Flyer Concierge takes the hard work out of finding award availability and redeeming your frequent flyer or credit card points for flights.

Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, the Frequent Flyer Concierge team at Frequent Flyer Concierge will help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

However, on the flip side, 'soon' could just be a form of discalimer for Woolworths. The system could be up and running, and points could be allocated, however, they might not advertise a date yet until all stores are 'ready to go'.

Maybe just wiping their hands clean of any potential 'issues'

Hmmm, this restriction of on QFF A/C per card is a bit of a trick. The more points in the one account the more options for awards are available. i.e. 3.7K points here and 4.5 K points there is not very useful, 8.2K will get a 1 way trip < 600 miles..

One could think of family transfers to amalgamate them, but one needs 5K point before you can do so and then you cannot transfer for another year.

The Earn Rate is available to Woolworths Limited Staff from 1 June 2009 and to all Everyday Rewards members from the date advertised in store.

Yes, but in this case of free membership from woolies your not signing up from another country. As far as QF FFP are concerned you've paid the fee.

I'm not exactly sure how this works but having discussed the free membership offered with a credit card, is seems there is some deal where the accountants have money changing hands for the free membership that is given out.

Of course my local Woolies is closed tomorrow for the public holiday. So June 2 really..
