Qatar Airways status match to Virgin Australia

Anyone else still waiting?

Is there an email address to enquire about the status? I've had no joy from using the "contact us" form on their site/app

I forwarded them the original email with a follow up message on 4/6 (original email 18/5)
Finally got acknowledgement with a service request number yesterday from that email. Maybe a few got lost in email land.

My wife is still waiting, she applied after it was closed for Velocity members though. She's received a reference number to say it's being processed though.

I replied to the last email they sent me via the contact form on the website and it was answered within a couple of days. They've just said my request for status match to gold is being reviewed.

As has already been discussed quite alot - use QR number to get you into the QF lounge then change it to your QFF number and build status in QF now VA is going to be kneecapped for a few years!
Do we know what happens with Lounge access for QF flight when you cant add the QR FF to the booking? do I just show my QR gold card and my QF boarding pass?

Not since I got the 'we're processing it' email.
Not that I'm in any great hurry!

Emailed them and got this response today:

"Thanks for your email requesting tier status match. We are currently reviewing your request. Upon approval, you will receive a welcome email to your registered email address as a Platinum member. If for any reason your tier status match is declined, you will also be notified of the reason for this.

That’s pretty much the generic response they send out so I think it’s safe to say you’ll be matched.

My friend was matched around the same time as me but used his KrisFlyer gold status as he’s silver with Velocity. He was obviously matched to QR gold but it’s interesting KrisFlyer don’t really have anything higher except for the tiers that count how much you spend with the airline. I’m hoping my platinum match drops to gold next June as it’s looking increasingly likely we won’t be able to properly travel for quite a while.

Just got the welcome to gold also.... after having to send through statements a second time and hearing nothing, was getting a little worried.
Really hoping to put it to use in Asia early next year if the borders open.

FYI - my wife also just got approved even though she applied after the closure date for velocity members
