Forgot to report-the sparkling wine survived it's 15 hours in the checked baggage on QF from JNB.
In fact arrived in much better condition than the Amarula we put in checked baggage on VA SYD-MCY.Fortunately the bottle was inside a metal container which arrived dented and with lid off but bottle still intact.

I like Revenge on channel 7. But this celebrity splash is such cr#p I was moved to call channel 7 to state just that. I was on hold for 10 minutes!

Agree! Annoyed that Greys is on so late as a result too.

Inspired a little by watching Les Mis, and The Voice, I searched out the Susan Boyle audition singing "I Dream a Dream" on Britain's Got Talent to show my two youngest girls today. They loved it :)
It is an truly an inspirational piece of television. There isn't a lot of commercial TV that falls into this category.
SUSAN BOYLE 1st [HD] - YouTube

It is a great story isn't it. An amazing performance and such hidden talent. Well, I guess she knew she had a voice.

No I remembered blackcat20 post a while back which showed high exam passing techniques can be neutralized by a puppy that can pee on your foot.

Flashware we have kpc who lives in that world and could probably test us for Alzheimer's .
How are the Tim Tam yearnings going?

Well, the jury is out on that one :D

Not too bad! It's more the Shapes I'm after.... good news is that they're currently sitting in Vienna before going via Bratislava and Budapest to finally be reunited with me in Zagreb ;)

I think it will be an SQ Suites run for us that I will book tomorrow as QF had dust for Jan,14 to Los Angeles. I think we will finally try the A319 into London City this time out of New York.
Shapes are an acquired taste I think.

Ah yes, remember last year when I brought you the care package with Shapes in them. They were good as gone within 24 hours.

Got BA CW LCY on my bucket list; mainly I know it will be a novelty of sorts, but I still want to try it.

Got a number of oneworld (and possibly *A) "flight experiences" on my list. Just trying to string them all into a cohesive itinerary, or even better if they can be executed via an AAdvantage oneworld Explorer award. However, that's proving to be much more difficult than I thought.

Yes, I often try to rope people in for a box or two  It's my only addiction I can't kick!

Still confused by this comment...I've posted nothing of the sort (puppy pee, yes; exam techniques, no)...

Haha. Of course there is always the ripoff option of the local importers.

If I do a quick dash to oz before June 30 (like I'm hoping), I will bring you back a pack or two. That is, if my fam member over here hasn't already prebooked my luggage Space for their Aussie grocery fix!

Whilst I've only had my cat for 2.5 months I am missing her already as I prepare for my holiday (booked last June). Still I know she is being well cared for and hopefully will be happy to see me when I return.

My home seems very quiet without her here, even when she was just sleeping in the room.

No sleep tonight as I prepare for my trip. Still I can sleep on the flight to LAX in J.

Fear my powers! I don't even need to ask now, they're getting thrown at me :D

Your family should take priority over me ;)

As a WP, my baggage allowance is more than reasonable :P (Not as good as it was though!)

BTW, I did find last time that the twisties I brought over popped during the flight. Stuff must have rolled around in the luggage and/or they were "especially careful" with my bag!

Put them in a box, that's how my last pack came (in a box in a suitcase) and 2x packs survived just swell :D

Well that would be smart... think it was probably popped by a can of creamed corn or the corner of a shapes box. Lol.
Reminds me of my backpacker tour of Ireland years ago. Had a pack of Heineken in my bag... many bumpy roads and somehow some managed to burst. Clothes and a bag drenched in Heineken really doesn't smell good!

You sure? It makes you smell like a hardened alcoholic
