1 x Brother in Law making his first flight in many, many years today. In a private aircraft no less.
No points or SC as unfortunately it is in an air ambulance Armidale to John Hunter Newcastle. Should have been airlifted yesterday but apparently Armidale was fogged in so it was moved to 7am today. 4 hospitals in 2 days - Glen Innes, Armidale, J Hunter and now being moved to Mater Newcastle. Should be a hospital Gold member.

Hope he is okay... I happen to know a doctor at that hospital. They are very good :)

More bad news for penegal's health today... Unfortunately it appears that I can't pretend to be 25 years old for 50 years... who knew?

The good news is that I don't have any of the bad things they tested me for. According to my blood, I am quite healthy.
The bad news is that they don't know what's wrong with me... But no air ambulance rides for me as yet.

I think I am allergic to work, but apparently that isn't a real medical condition :o

Unfortunately I can't say what is wrong as we are still waiting for information to filter through to Adelaide.
We know he looks like he has been stung by a thousand bees (which he hasn't) so we just have to wait.
Understandably when mrs.buzzard rings the hospital she can't get any info - privacy laws, which she knows all about being in the medical profession herself.

Hopefully penegal only more good news will come your way. Try to avoid the private aircraft at all costs!
On a lighter side, I lost a job once due to ill health and fatigue - the boss was sick and tired of me

Maybe it's my way of coping somtimes, by making light of serious situations, so I was thinking wouldn't it be funny for another brother in law who happens to be a funeral director up New England , to pick him up in a hearse

So anyone can do your job?

If they have the qualifications. ;)

Seriously, if they're interested and have motivation to learn stuff, sure. One of the best people in Australia in my field is also an AFF member. They have definitely shown there is more to the game than qualifications.

The person who created the hassle this week has also shown the qualifications mean nothing.

Only 1 penegal :o....I know 2 ;) and yes, they are both very good at their respective jobs.

QF WP, you know that I am very old and forgetful...

The one that jumps to mind is joining a few AFFers for dinner/drinks tonight :p

What is a Population Health Unit?

If I was to apply BS bingo to my job, I'd be a Public Transit Movement Faciliatator (Rails Division, Afternoon specialist)

Population Health is about disease prevention strategies etc and their application to the community in general I believe!

I wonder if that is through academic pressure, peer pressure or bullying (including cyber bullying)?

We had a geography teacher tell us as a class of 16 year olds that by the time we were 25, 5 of us would be dead... and a health teacher say 1 in 9 would be sexually abused....

The sad thing is, these things are not spread equally amongst the socio-economic population.

But there is also the lies, damn lies, and statistics issue...

Burning the candle at both ends? ;)

Hmm.. talking about yourself in the 3rd person.. ;)

ARCPOH - Australian Research Centre Population Oral Health which is a part of The University of Adelaide studies the oral health of the population in general. Hope this helps.
