Great; another work distraction. :!:

So you really do live in Sale VIC 3850, Australia :?:

Everyone will realise that I don't live in Bundaberg, but I was there last year so I might have to go back again, just for a location update of course.

Love Bundy, especially the 'Coral Cove' area with it's great golf club, the par six is a classic hole, never manage to get under 9, but that's golf. Land prices are cheap for golf frontage as well, very tempting.:D
There's six golf clubs in the local area, and another five within a short drive.

Cheers Dee

Had the pleasure :D of staying in a dry county in Arkansas last night.Liver got a rest.
Funny regulation where alcohol can only be served in a private club.A couple of restaurants(including Chillis)had separate private clubs-you had to pay $5 to enter that section.

Air NZ and New Zealand Natural had a promo today in the Queen Street Mall. They were selling ice cream cones for $1 - $2 apiece from 12pm. The first 50 people to front up to get an ice cream received a free flight on NZ (not sure of any of the T&Cs, so don't ask).

The problem was that New Zealand Natural doesn't have a shop in the Queen Street Mall. Instead, they did up an ice-cream van in Air NZ designs, which ended up parking itself at the Casino end of the Mall. The only thing that gave any hint that the van might be there was a rope barrier. There were no other signs, placards etc. giving hints that the van would at that spot.

After haplessly trying to find a shop front or sign, I lined up at around 11.30am. By that time, quite a decent line had formed. No chance I was in the first 50.

As it turned out, the first 50 were served within about 10-15 minutes. After that, some of the promo staff travelled down the line to tell everyone there were no more free tickets left, but anyone else who goes to the van between 12pm and 3pm got free ice cream. About 15% of the line disbanded after hearing this. I stayed and got a free double scoop. Yeah, I wish it were a ticket, but oh well.

The van. The whole idea was to promote NZ's new Trans-Tasman/Pacific Island 4-tier fare system, "Seats to Suit". "Some people want toppings and the works, and some just want the ice cream and cone"

Originally they were charging $1.00 for a "Seat" cone (single scoop); up to a "Works Deluxe" for $2.00 (double scoop with chocolate sauce and Twirl stick). Four flavours of New Zealand Natural ice cream were available: Cookies & Cream, Hokey Pokey, Mango Sorbet and Forest Berry Frozen Yoghurt.

After all the free tickets were gone, everyone else got a single or double scoop cone for free.

My cone.

Dangerously close to being on-topic, but a quick little rant - currently at the MEL Domestic J QP and while there are 4 or 5 hot food options .. exactly none of them are vegetarian.

At least the gin is cold. :)

Just noticed that ex-CEO of Virgin, Brett Gogfrey, has been recruited to stand for election as a Director of Auckland Airport.
B.G. is already a Director of Canadian Carrier WestJet.

Cheers Dee

Would be nice if he got the position. AKL airport could use a sound mind in its management.

To all normal people (ie those who do not follow Collingwood) I humbly apologize for the look of our house today :!:

I will have to consider moving out for the afternoon.
The red on the front door does offer a little compensation though.

You're living in a Pies outpost, straitman? :) Poor you...

Lovely house you have there, though.

Normal people; good one. :D

Collingwood is a love/hate relationship. If your team isn't playing them, then you barrack for the team who is playing Collingwood.

So good luck to the Saints, only 1 Grand final win for them and not since 1966 so its about time they won another one.

Bill (whereishome) and I had a big night last night. A bin full of empty beer bottles greeted us this morning... and an empty bottle of sake that was once full.

My stomach is still a little upset. Like my head.
